I received a message stating the the number had been changed and that I needed to call 101515800 to retrieve the correct one. A quick google showed that the number had been intercepted by a scam company who charges 4.99 per a minute to get the correct number. It's a Scam! Do not dial this number!

Got a message from Allied Interstate stating they are calling about a debt and to call 1-866-429-7629.  Called this number and they stated to call 101515800 instead.  I got suspicious, looked this up, it is a scam that will cost you $5.00 a minute if you try this.

January 8, 2008.  I got several calls today from 877-459-6723, a man named Ross Webber fraud investigator for Coppen Investigations.  Very ignorant and provoking.  When I called back the number,  the message said to call 101515800 and pay $5.00 for more info about the 877 number that called. Funny enough though it also gave the number for the real directory assistance in Nevada 702-555-1212, who knew nothing about the 877 number and  warned me to call my phone carrier to be sure no hidden charges show up on my bill.

Jan 15, 2007  This number is also associated with an unauthorized billing scam which will show up as UMG Buyer's Guide on your bank statement.  Their number to call is 888-326-7156, which has a recording telling the caller to dial 101515800.

Looking at my banking online today I noticed a $15.00 charge.  Don't recall that charge but this is what it said...

SIGNED PURCHASE AT&T YPC.COM\\800-343-739 POS 15.00

So, I call the number and like everyone else I was told to call 101515800 and I NEVER call numbers that I don't know so I googled it and pulled up all the scam info.

I immediately called my bank and they cancelled my debit card BUT I wanted to share this with others so you can also review your banking records and hopefully this will help to prevent them from trying to take money out of someone elses account.

I got a medical "statement" from United Behavioral Health.  The statement looks like a list of medical services.  At the bottom of the Statement it said, "This is not a bill".

I called the 800 number (800-374-6060) at the top of the statement 3 times.  Each time a recorded message encouraged you to call 101515800 for additional info.  (I didn't do it).

I went to UBH's web site and got another phone number and called UBH.  The charges, it turns out, were for a podiatrist and they were incorrectly sent to UBH.

UBH said that no 800 number was on the statement.  Within 10 minutes after I phoned UBH I tried the 800 number again but now it was an "out of service" message.   It has been this way ever since.

Can 800 numbers be hijacked?  Or, more likely, is the UBH "statement" altered to include this 800 number?  Can there be a confederate at UBH intercepting bills and statements and including misleading information?  (It may sound far out but people will devise pretty intricate schemes for personal gain).

Called an old vendor that I now find out is out of business. His 800 number refered me to 101515800. I called it, naively. First thing I asked was "is this call costing me money?" The person said "I cannot give that information, try calling the 800 # in 15 minutes" and hung up.

SCAM!!!!

I also tried to call an 800 number for an insurance company I use...I was directed to call the 101515800 number but they said they had no information on a current phone number.  After finally getting ahold of my insurance company and finding out that their number was still good I got suspicious and googled the 101515800 number.

To make a long story short my phone company said they would remove the charges but that I might have to deal with the parent company of this scam outfit (ILD teleservices inc.) to keep them from trying to collect this money.

I answered the phone and an extremely ignorant/moronic sounding man named Mr. Webb said "Chase Finance needs to know where the car is." The man identified himslef as being from some collection agency - but his number came up as Suffolk County Police Department, 3rd Precinct. An obvious SPOOFCARD play as I've played jokes on friends the exact same way having another friend's phone number come up on thier caller ID.

His real number is 877-459-6723 extension 1632 as he gave it to me to call him back. Not to worry too much though, he's not very quick when you fire questions back at him as to who/what/where etc. He tries to be evasive, but his ignorance shines through in an instant.
