Left a message indicating to call 800-750-7543 and when we called it said call 1015158000 for $4.95

I got a message claiming to be from the Citi Business early Fraud Detection center.  They said to call 1-800-750-7543 with my card number ready.  It seemed suspicious so I called the number on the back of my card instead and they confirmed that they had NOT tried to contact me.  Out of curiosity I called the number on the message and also got some message about paying $5.45 to call a different number since the international directory assistance for the number had changed. Obviously fraud.

I was calling (800) 586-7056 to cancel magazine subscriptions that Delta Airlines had given me for free and it told me to call 10 15 15 8000 but a fee would occur.  This sounds like some sort of scam - and I don't want to call it - but I keep getting magazines I don't want - and don't want to pay for an additional $39 for another year to which has already been taken out of my checking account.

I received a call from 866-551-6971, but I did not pick up.  When I later called that number (using *67 to hide caller ID), a recorded message told me to dial 10 15 15 8000 (aka 101-515-8000), and there would be a fee involved.  I haven't called this number, but I wonder who they are and how they have my number.

Just to follow up on my previous comment, it appears that this is the work of OAN Services.  They are widely reported on the Rip Off Report website.  I can't understand how this is legal and continuing to happen.

I was bill over $5.00 on my recent Verizon bill for this number.  I did not call it:  101-515-8000

I found 101-515-800 on my ATT phone bill. The bill said it was for Directory Assistance. I nor my wife had used any Directory Assistance. The name on the bill for the number is ILD Teleservices. Never heard of it. I called ATT and had them send the bill for the call back to ILD. When I receive the bill (if I do) I will forward it to the California Public Utilities Commission. Also, I will NOT pay it!!!

I was billed 3 times for directory assistance for #101-515-8000 When I called the number given on the bill they were giving me info about the number, when told I did not make any calls they advised they would have the billing reversed in one or two billing cycles

Bill out of no where for $7.59 (no one was home durng time frame indicated).  Contacted billing inquires and spoke to obviuosly foreign support offering to immediatley reverse the charges.  Per the US area code map this number does not exist in the continental US..

My mom found 1015158000 number on her ATT bill.She did not call. She can not speak English and she is 86 years old. ATT customer service refused to delete $ 7.49 charge. ATT suggested to call this number back and talk to them, more charge.

A month after buying hair products "WEN" off an informercial a charge for $40 was on my bank statement. It had an 800 number on it so I called it. This is when I was instructed to call 1015158000 for a charge of $5.89 not including blah blah blah. I did not call it. Why would a Guthy Renker Product  company give me this obviously fraudulent number? This is BS!

Corel Office tried to register itself using the telephone number 1015158000

ok first off its a national directory assistance provider and to use the service someone would of had to dial an 800 number like every single person here did. and if that number is changed or disconnected it will tell u to dial 10-15-15-8000 or 10-10-27-5000. after hearing that message the caller has to hang up and dial that number. so its ur choice if u wanna be charged for it!!! and if it tells u about the fee thats ur first clue to hang up??!!! and its not a re-accurring charge its like a 411!!! and its there policy to issue u a full refund which no one here mentioned if u actually call the company. so u get every penny back!! so every person here who says its a rip off or scam and they take ur money should not talk cuz u get ur money back and its ur choice to use the service!!! I WUD NO I WORKED THERE

A very urgent call from James Allen at 1-800-521-2236 X4128, turned into a recording that said for $5.49 to call 1-015-158-8000.  I would not bother with a scam like that and checked on the internet.

Just tried to call Wells Fargo's fraud department for a different matter entirely, and got the message to call 10-15-15-8000, and it would cost $4.95.

  Is this some kind of telephone system virus or something?!?!?

I work for a company that has a large number of 800 numbers into our building.  One day one of them mysteriously stopped ringing to us and started ringing to a message advising to call 1015158000.  Obviously, our 800 number had been hijacked.

I would advise against calling this number in any case.
