Who is sending this text message to me

I got an unsolicited text from Yahoo Messenger from this number that said: Siddhanthgaonkar sen you a message.

who is this person sending weird messages

This is spam text messaging or "smishing."  You need to report it to your wireless carrier.

My wife got this one day while at home saying someone using yahoo messenger is sending her a message and to get it she has to reply with "y". When she did it was someone names Johanna saying "Hi im shy"...She deleted them and called me and I'm trying to figure out what it is. So I or she am calling our cell company and reporting it.

I also received a message to which I had to reply Y. Apparently someone wants me to visit her profile on lovemagik.org, which sounded like b.s. to me. I looked up the number and found this. Whoever this is is an idiot.

This number appeared on my text and it said it was from Y!:holly_75su:.  I thought it was from my friend Holly.  It wasn't.  A few hours later my iPhone crashed. I am not sure if this was related or not.

Received this message  --The Yahoo Messenger user "Johanna" aelrc5 has sent you a message Please reply --    as I have a prepaid phone, I was charged 30 cents to read the message.   Of course, I didn't reply.  The number shows up as
 1-111-440-601  which is 9 digits instead of 10.  Must be a computer generated dialer.

I have no idea who this is from but I didn't open it for that reason.  I do that on my home phone also, if I don't recognize
the caller

I got a text message today from this number, but mine was from "summer75kqsy".  I think it's some kind of spam or intrusive telemarketing where by replying to their message with "y," they then know that your phone number is active.  I didn't reply to it, but instead Googled it.

we just received a text message from this number asking us to reply with "y."  The sender's name is KristiK8f682.  It said to check Mobile.Yahoo.com for more information.

I just wanted to say thank you for the comments here. I just received this message on my cell phone about replying with a "y" to accept my message from the Yahoo! Messenger user "carolinahntrdj" and was uncertain enough about it that I googled the number. Now I know it is not a legitimate message from someone I know. Ironically, my son had just tried to call me from N. Carolina only moments before this message was sent. I consider this very invasive, and almost criminal. Does anyone know if there is something I can do to keep this from happening again? Thank you.

I have recieved this message also, and im only 12 with a Gophone not a cell. This person needs to stop. Who is it? The messenger was dif though it was melinda76gb8o.

I got this text message today from this number.   I think the phone number belongs to Yahoo.com  

I will not waste my time replying to the text to get the actual message, but I am sure that it is garbage.

I will be calling my phone company tomorrow and get the number blocked.
