wtf cant someone stop this place from calling us?????

These guys call us 10 - 20 times a day.  Am writing my state AG about them.

It is a collection for Kohl's

it is not a scam, it is a collection agency.  The reason it comes on Caller ID as a 126 area code is because it isn't displaying correctly.  It is showing the "1" when it doesn't need to.  The actual number is 262-703-1977.  And yes, it is Kohl's collection department.

I've been getting repeated telemarketing calls from this number today and yesterday on my land line, and not answering, of course.  I looked up my payment history, the last bill, etc., etc., and I looked up the number they said to call, and the number of origin, and it was indeed Kohl's department store's collections department.  So this morning I called Kohl's (using the number on my card, not the number they said to call -- I'm not THAT stupid) and was quite forceful about them stopping the calls.  They said they'd stop them, and a couple of hours later, the calls began again.  

I just canceled my credit card with them.  My account had a zero balance, was not compromised in any way, and they admitted it.  Yet they said the number belonged to some other account and they couldn't stop the calls.  Well, the only way to be heard, in addition to telling them how unprofessional that policy is and how they lied to me about stopping the calls, was to cancel my card.  I don't go there very often anyway, and if I do, I'll use another card or just cash.  I don't care if it affects my credit rating.  I'm done.

kohls? collection? no reason for them to be calling this household....

I made payment arrangements two weeks ago. They called me 15 times yesterday, a sunday, and 12 times the day before. I am late  on one payment, $78,  which I told them several times I would pay tomorrow, February 1st. I gave them permission to debit my account on that day. Still, they harass me and this is simply not right. I have never been hounded like this in my life. I spent thousands of dollars with them in the last two years alone and I will not shop there ever again.

a "126" area code may not be an area code at all. It may well be part of an 8-digit designation from a voice over IP phone. My daughter (a techie) just explained it to me. She has her Master's degree in Education, and is working as a manager for one of the largest banks in the world. Go figure.

Just received a call with area code 126 never answered and i will not answer any unknown call fox news is having a segment on these types of calls tonight

Just called never answered I do not answer calls with unknown on it most are scams I'm sick of these calls I'm just home from having brain surgery and will not put up with it any longer
