Received the same sms collecting an overdue gas account from AGL. The sender even have a payment reference number.

I am not even with them.

I got the same message. This is the second time they text me about this overdue bill..the funny thing is i am not even with AGL. Today, they called me several times, and hides their number. How stupid is that? A genuine company would not hide thier number if they sought a payment.

Just got a text that I owe AGL $145 and to call this number. Gave a reference number too.
No services are supplied to me by AGL! Nearly tricked me though. VERY NAUGHTY.

received an SMS from 0416 905 141 saying to call  1300 658 955 as my AGL bill is due.. $195.41.. with reference number  564158219036738160.  I am not with AGL and would not have a $195.41 gas/electricity bill even if I was.A case of attempted misleading.

Received SMS from 0416905141. Claimed they were AGL my bill was overdue for 395.71. I am with AGL, but my current bill's not due yet, and the amount is different.

I received a call from a hidden number with recorded voice that my gas bill was overdued of $$$. I punched my  DOB and IT was asking if I would deal with this by Friday 13-Sep. I said yes. I called AGL the following day as I have Electricity with them. I found that my Gas was not with them, but I definitely consolidated the account. Anyhow, I switched Gas back to AGL.
Today I got SMS from 0416905141 to contact 1300 658 955 to pay $$$ amount overdued.
This is ridiculous!!

outstanding electricity bill. When I call the number providing the customer number provided on the SMS the call centre person refuses to provide any information regarding the address of the connected service, or whenre the original account was sent to unless i accept that it is my account and that I am responsible for payment. I have no involvement with the electricity company concerned.

The number you called was transferred to Philippines or some other places outside Australia.

SMS from AGLNoReply - claimed overdue Gas Bill.  Definitely a SCAM.  I rang the 1300 number just out of curiosity, and after entering the provided reference number I could hear tell-tale clicks of the call being transferred to an overseas number to receive my credit card payment!  

AGLNoReply, said Your AGL Gas Bill is overdue. Please Pay $215.69 or call 1300 658 995 to discuss your options. Ref# 526257049036253702, what [***] this, i moving to Hong kong for over 1 year, how can i have this [***] bill, where can i report this?

got a text from this number asking to pay AGL account hmmm don't think so.
