Had an email with this phone number ... claimed to be from Australian Taxation Office ...

Had an email with this number to ring instead of providing my bank details so as to get my refund from Australian Taxation Office. Dont do either. This is a SCAM!

i need order paper tax.

This ________ rung me talking in hindi said he is talking from Immigration department and he needs my phone number and I said Immigration should already have my number and they dont ring people on Viber, I was angry at him and he knew he is messing with some one who is aware of these fake people so he disconnected quickly.
What stupidity, immigration calling me on Viber in a non-English language

Same issue here, got my number from white pages i guess and immigration issue but we are all Australian citizens. I have reported them to Indian police but i guess they are not traceable from Australia. As soon as they realise they cant get anything from us, started abusing females and keep calling us 50 times a day. I end up changing all my numbers. Reported on SCAMWatch but that's all i guess i can do.. be careful guys.... Shame to see SCAM is handled from India. Knowing my language well , this guys are from Gujarat and has Saurstra (region) accent.

Got a call on homephone, saying calling from border security, got my mobile number from Mrs. Called me on viber and said that I have an arrest warrant and gave the warrant number,his badge number and was speaking very normal.... When asked for the reason for warrant he said that I didn't update my personal details with immigration department, the form number he said was the right one.... After few questions he said he can fix this issue if I paid him 3000Aud ... And was repeatedly saying it's a 3 way call with police, court as well... And not to disconnect... I doubted its prank call and disconnected anyway, googled this number and got info about this number..... Thanks for all the previous posts.

Ato scam email the number was attached to it

Had couple of calls from this number today pretending to be Kevin Brown, Alex Smith (ATO lawyer) asking for my lawyer details for my court case (Which i have none in my name) claiming that I have warrant in my name.

Calls get disconnected every few mins. Seems like a scam or prank

Was told this person was from ato and that I owed money and if I did not pay it that an arrest warrant would be issued. He told me it was being recorded and would be used in court if I didn't pay by today.
