Did you find out about this number? It came up on my bill as a third party purchase, I have no idea what it is?

I'm the same...got charged $59.40 and I didn't even call this money but it's been charged to my mobile bill as third party charges?

Is this a scam from Telstra?

same here its came on my bill as third party purchases and when i got the no from my telephone company to call them and ask not to contact me , they didnt pick up the phone . keep ringing.

I have not called this number at any time and have been charged $40.10 . Have rung Telstra and they are trying to sort it out.

I have the same problem with this number and i'm getting charged in my third party purchases.

I have almost $60 of calls for this number and have never called it or received calls from it, not happy.

yep, just got the same on my telstra bill here in australia....came up as third party purchases...don't know what it is either...

My August 2012 account from Telstra includes $53.05 for 9 calls to this number. I have never called it or heard of the company concerned. Seeing the number of other people who have been ripped off it is shocking that Telstra has not done something about it.

I have been charged by this third company also.... approx $30 and I know i didn't make the calls.... I had 4 charges all within 1 minute on the same date... Tesltra better sort it out, so not happy

Have been billed for 13 calls from this third party but didn't receive any - charged $79.45 by Telstra.  Thanks all for submitting as I now feel I have something to argue with.

Hi there, I am a Telstra Employee and we commonly have issues regarding these thrid party charges.
I would like to shed some light on how to dealw ith these issues.

Here is a list of the known third party suppliers in Australia.
Some of these companies have been reported as spaming the customer, or charging the customers without there knowledge.
If you have been spammed by these companies please contact the company and remove the subscription.
Once it has been removed your Telecommunication Supplier. eg. Telstra, Optus ect. Can barr Third Party SMS to stop bill shock in the future.
You are charges through your telecommunications company, because the thrid partys' charge the number for the use of the service.

You can generally find the number to contact the third arty on the bill with a copy of there ABN Number.

Hi everybody. I work for a telecommunications company in Australia and I just had a customer come through today regarding the exact same charges you are all talking about. Informatel runs competitions so if you are receiving $0.55 charges from them it is from entries to a competition. You can ring 1300659099 and the consultants will provide you the information regarding what competition and if you are disputing ever entering the competition they can also pull up a record of your message entering it for proof. What I was able to confirm is that this is NOT a subscription and its something that has to be entered each time to be charged. Hope this helps you all.

If a third party charge appears on your phone ring your provider and explain to them that you have a contract with them and not the third party. If they want to pay the third party that's fine. Jump up and down and demand these charges be removed and that you will not pay the extra charges. If the third party want their money then they should invoice you and naturally you wouldn't pay the invoice because you didn't ask for the service they provided. I doubt that they would take any legal action to recover their money. Speak up its your money.

Telstra keep charging my iPad mobile 4 x $10 = $40 every month - have diabled Premium SMS still no joy. The company name is Netsize and on the Telstra bill lists (ABN 13 00 78 50 ) BOGAS - number to call to cancel: 1300 650 521- BOGAS - says it is not connected.

Telstra will not do anything about it - why does Tesltra have to be a banker for these scammers !!! Can't Telstra make enough money out of just providing excellent data and communication services.

I received a $75 bill on my phone account
After phoning Telstra they advised me to call the 1300738639 and tell them to stop billing my number for this
I want to be credited for this amount ASAP

I have just started on a new plan and a new phone and these charges have started coming. In the last 2 months I have been chared $120 for things I know i didnt do. maybe our telecommunications providers should let us know that this may happen so that we could take precautions so such a thing wont happen. Not a very happy person here.
