unwanted call with Indian voice. Told I had registered with 'do not call' and hung up

The same number rang me yesterday, I didn't answer, then they rang back later I answered and they hung up, they also rang again today but I didn't have my phone on me, who the he'll is it???? And are you in Australia? Because I am and that is not like any Australian number I have ever seen.

I received a call from this number on my mobile phone and they hung up I tried to call back from my work phone and it just rang out?

I've been getting calls from this number for the last 4 days and anytime I answer, they hang up.  I've also started getting calls from a private number which I can't seem to block and they hang up too.  I tried calling back the 1300 number but it came up saying there was insufficient numbers and that it was overseas.  Has anyone entered any travel competitions lately?  I have and I just wonder if there is a connection.

Have got numerous calls from this number over the past few weeks and when i do answer there is no one there or music on hold. Getting quite annying as i cant call thew number back. and getting call late in the evening past 10PM or very early in the moring Pre 6AM. need this to stop as i have no idea whos calling. I just dont answer them now

I'm in Australia and I have entered a travel competition last month with hotmail and have got two missed call from 1300 number and the private one this evening. It's ridiculous as I try searching this number on google and find this page.
I think I should not accept these calls. Thanks for sharing.

I have been recieving 2-3 calls every working day for the last 4 weeks.
SO ANNOYING!
Every time i answer, no one speaks and just hangs up after about 5-10 seconds. Contacted my phone service provider and they cant do anything unless i get 10 calls recorded a day.

Will be joining on the 'do not call register' and that will stop it from happening! (which blocks your number from telemarketers).

I've known this number. Today they called me 3 times and I had answer it is Idian promotion phone.

I had this number call me quite a few times yesterday and I called the number from a private landline. Funny thing is it rang out and 2 seconds after hanging up my mobile rang. It was this Indian guy. Said he is from ABC kids learning and is conducting a survey. He asked if I had any kids at school, i said no then he hung up on me.....I rang the number back and it rung out. I reported it to Vodafone.....Ver Very odd.... !!!

Does anyone get asked for a 'Shanti, Shanty, Ashanti' or whatever? or am i somehow really special :)

I get 5-7 calls a day from this nuber, I dont answer it but try ringing it and it just rings out!

I am getting the same call. Anyone have any idea where they are getting the number from? I didn't sign up to anything. I think we may find we all have one company in common that has passed the numbers on illegally. It must be an Australian company too as we are all Australian. I am pretty sure only Fitness First and the bank have my mobile. Anyone else got any ideas?
