calling telling from icici bank by name vijay

On 17.04.2012 ten times they called saying that they are calling from icici without telling their names.

1409450019 - Got Call from this number saying, we are from ICICI Lombard. And they have basic information of mine and started offering. You are eligible for an offer from ICICI, We will enroll you for the ICICI 5 years Lombard Insurance plan, you can claim up to 25 Lacs.
For that you need to pay 25,000 Rupees up front and we will send you application process documents next week and fill those and send back to us.
Then they started asking Debit/Credit card details security codes, to charge the 25,000 immediately over the phone.
I said I'm NOT INTERESTED and disconnected the call.  

Friends be aware of these, fake calls. In India these phone call traps are very easy and goes fishy...
And when you/parents become panic you will tell all the details and you end up loosing 0 Balance in your accounts.
They create fake credit/debit cards and check books with the information you provided and with draw all the bucks.

01.     I received a phone call on my landline  from a spam number +91 - 1409450019   at about 07 PM on 12-02-2015.  Some male member read out my bank account number, name and further said,  "We are from ICICI Lombard, Chennai Regional Office. You are  eligible for an offer from ICICI Lombard. We wish to enroll you from Chennai regional office so that there will be no service charges by the local branches where you have your account.  We have  ICICI One-year- Lombard Insurance plan for you, in which you can claim up to 5 Lacs and for that you need to pay Rs.10,000/-  immediately and then we will send you application and  process documents next week and fill those and send back to us".  Then they started asking Debit/Credit card details, security codes etc., to effect automatic-deduction of  Rs. 10,000/- from my account. I said I'm NOT INTERESTED and disconnected the call.

02.         I enquired from www.truecaller.com/in/140 945 0019   which said that this is a spam number and anti-social-elements try to withdraw money from the accounts  and this website quoted that about 1123 people have reported as SPAM. And this may not be from Chennai and may be from anywhere in India.  The male person who intoduced himself as Mr Vijay, was speaking fluent Telugu may be with Tamil accent.
