Caller mentioned something about internet virus in the area and asked my son to go on the PC and perform certain operations. My son refused and asked to call back later. Havent heard from them since.

I had someone from this number call me & then get me to do a few things on the computer - not connected to the internet. I asked for their ABN and was given the 1800 number. I said that this looked more like a telephone number than an ABN and the man with a hard to understand accent agreed that it was. He said that he was from Global Tech Sydney. They then asked me to tell them how many warnings and how many red error messages were reported. abt (20 &60+). These both indicated that there were many infections running through my computer and that the computer would "crash" within the next few days. (I noticed that most of the error messages were coded with the same number and that they were fairly harmless) The warnings were times that the computer tried to connect to something that didn't work out. The caller then said "Mrs I am going to put you on to my supervisor who can help you get rid of these infections". They got me to connect to "www.support.me" but as it was not my computer I told them that I was not comfortable putting the six digit security code into the site. With that they finally gave up. I think the company is legit, but if I found the correct place, it costs $156 per month or $1428 per year (per computer!!) for their services after the first "FREE CHECK!"

Recieved call from person identifying themselves as Roger Samuels ID No 11862 from Sydney Computer Customer Services, tel 1800 095 197 , I was extremely suspecious as he had a very distinct India/English accent. Again I was quizzed about errors and warings on my computer and was passed to his "senior supervisor" Brian who spoke of the effective life of a computer being in excess of 10 years - alarm bells were really loud at this stage - and he could remove the trogans on my computer and install proventative software but there would be a small once off charge.
At this point I had had enough and said I was not interested - he then hung up without even saying good-bye - not correct from someone who quite obviously learnt their English from a book!
I have been targeted on several occasions with this same ploy but they still keep trying without success.

Have now received three calls from this company and I finally asked the address and number they were calling from.  This is the number from Phillip St, Sydney.
I have siad each time I am not at the computer, they said they will call back.  The first time the caller was from London and put me onto their supervisor, the last two times have been from Sydney.  I have asked them for the instructions on what they want me to do and they will not tell me unless I am at the computer.
This last time I said it was a hoax and they immediately hung up.  Each call has come from a private number.

Caller was Daniel from International Server Systems...same address at Phillips Street in Sydney but he didn't know what Suburb he was in or whether he was in the CBD of Sydney. Same deal.... look up such and such to see error messages, the computer is in danger if over 10 and he wanted to sell software. I didn't even go through the steps I just uh huhed him and told him there were a total of 7 errors .... he was very persistent. I told him I was not interested and that this is a scam. He asked why, and I told him because I get these calls every week. He insisted that they are all scams but this is not...that's what they all tell me. I feel for anyone who gets caught up in their BS.

I had a call from this company shortly after reporting a fault on my phone line to my internet service provider as it was causing problems with my Broadband connection. I wonder if they have access to details of people reporting faults to their ISP. I became suspicious after the first few seconds of the conversation and politely said "No thanks" and hung up. The caller rung back immediately very irrate because I had hung up when he was trying to help me. I asked for the name and phone number of the company, said goodbye and hung up again. He did not call back
