Report a phone call from 180-023-6278 and help to identify who and why is calling from this number.
- wendy alegre| 3 repliesThese people constantly call me during the day and nite about and unpaid mobile account with Virgin mobile. Virgin doesn't know about any of this and has confirmed in writing that account is finalized and paid for. These people want to know all my details which all the time. Who are these scam artists? Could anyone let me know who they are so I can report them to the authorities? Thank you
- Me replies to wendy alegre| 1 replyI got a call from "NRG Global Solutions" on my mobile. They wanted to speak to my wife and gave me this 1800 236 278 number for her to call back on.
They said that it was urgent but wouldn't say what it was about.
After telling them that my wife wouldn't bother calling them if she didn't know what it was about they said it was about "Virgin". The thing is that we both used to be on Virgin Mobile (up until about 3 months ago), but if they wanted to speak to my wife, why wouldn't they just call her mobile number (instead of mine)?
All sounds a bit dodgy to me. - hari replies to MeI got a couple of voice mails from this number too. They say its urgent, gave me a reference number also n said its regarding my personal business matter! will c what they have to talk to me about this

- mannieHello! I just got a call from these guys, the message left on my home phone was a computerised voice, asking me to call back urgently on 1800 236 278. Typed this number in Google and this is where i ended up. I do have an account with Virgin, but it is a pay as you go service and there is no question of debt. Did a bit of research with "NRG Global Solutions", they are a member of the Credit Ombudsman Service, (http://www.cosl.com.au/) and their membership number is M0007166. The Credit Ombudsman Service should be able to help out with this if NRG get carried away. They have just called me the once, about half an hour ago, so maybe they wont call again.....

They said that it was urgent but wouldn't say what it was about.
These people want to know all my details and I don't think I should provide them with any as they don't say what they want.
Does anyone know where I should report them?- Caller: NRG Global Solutions
- manniethis company even has a facebook page ...but check with a lawyer first before you threaten them with anything! Their facebook address is: http://www.facebook.com/pages/NRG-Global-Solutions/125082550858566
As i wrote before, they are a member of the Credit Ombudsman Service, (http://www.cosl.com.au/) and their membership number is M0007166. Use that if they harass you. They haven't called me back which a bit sad :(..... I don't take harassment too kindly and tend to respond with all sorts of things like dos attacks.
Sometimes, its important to get facts right, otherwise the people who try to bully, may just be on the receiving end of a whole lotta worse.

- JadePaid my bill to virgin the day they sent me an invoice but NRG insist I still owe $11.00. Told them if they wanted the extra money they should have billed me for it and to stop wasting my time.
- Vigilant| 6 repliesI changed carriers from Vodafone and there was an outstanding amount. I paid the amount with Vodafone (which included some fees that I didn't have to due to their poor service and coverage) just so I could get them off my back. This is when the calls from NRG started (around ~ April). Continually following up on the amount and when I told that I was dealing with Vodafone directly (because why on earth would I give my personal details to someone that wouldn't identify themselves or what they do) they got really annoyed. The phone calls increased. I went to the Telco Ombudsman and reported Vodafone for the execessive charges and got them back VERY quickly from Vodafone.
Then all went quiet with NRG.
Until just this month. The calls started up and happened everyday. I gave them a fake address and date of birth to see if it was a scam or if they actually had my contact details. They didn't bite on the fake details. I then rang THEM back and asked who they are, what they do, why would I give them my details etc. I said because I don't deal with Vodafone anymore (and haven't for several months) they had no reason to call me about an 'URGENT matter regarding Vodafone'. I then demanded that they put me on their do not call list, to which they responded 'we don't know your name'. I berrated them about this as they don't need to know it, just the number they're not to call. I said that if I received one more unsolicited call, that I would report them to the telco ombudsman. However, knowing what they do, reporting them to the Credit Ombudsman might just be on the cards too.- Caller: NRG Global Solutions

- SybetraRk replies to Vigilant| 3 repliesI had a Vodafone account until February this year as I was fed up with the call quality and service in general. So I moved to another provider and that too on a Prepaid account. Before my closure of contract with Vodafail, I had a long discussion with one of their representatives who negotitated my exit and the price etc. All was well until about a month ago when I received an email stating - private and confidential. call us on 1800203561. Which I did and a lady on the phone said, you have an unpaid amount to the tune of over a thousand dollars to Vodafone and we shall collect it. Without even giving me any details, she asked me if I could give her my bank account to make the transaction easier.
What sounded really dubious to me was (and I have worked for Collections myself in the past) that she did not have any details whatsoever of what the charges were for and why Vodafone failed to contact me even before I could get onto her list. Vodafone anyways has had my bank account details, they would have contacted me on email for sure as I would have imagined. But nothing of that sort happened. I got no communication from Vodafone which should have been the case before getting a random email from some NRG peeps.
What shall I do? Shall I contact any kind of Ombudsman for it ..A friend of mine suggested I get my credit history checked from MyCreditFile.com.au. What is the best way to investigate a bit more about these charges.? - virginhater replies to SybetraRkI have been getting harassed from these guys since about June and the refuse to let up. I closed my account with Virgin back in February and then out of the blue they have sent me letters, emails and now daily calls sometime 5 times a day, I refuse to answer them so they rang my work phone to which I exploded and told her in no uncertain terms they are not getting one cent from me and if they rang my work number again I will take them to the onbudsman. I ranted and raved and hung up, a few hours later they called back!!!... I have had 2 calls this morning already so I will be going to the onbudsman now.
- susanjust received a call and took the message down with a reference number they provided. i dont know what its about either.????
- SarahNRG Global Solutions have been harassing me with voicemail, text messages, email and letters for 6 months, apparently on behalf of Virgin Mobile. Virgin have confirmed that I don't and never have owed them any money. I have repeatedly told these people to stop contacting me, but they won't. I have now reported them to the credit ombudsman and Scamwatch.

- labandera| 4 repliesNRG Global Solutions also rang our place looking for my daughter who has not lived with us for 5 years. I gave them a return call and asked what it was about. They wouldn't tell but asked for my daughter's contact details. I refused and told the caller I am not at liberty to give away her number to every Tom, Dick and Harry who comes along and ask for her contact details. I passed the message on to my daughter though. She said, 'that's weird'
