SCAM - wanted bank info

Just keep calling my house,no message left.

Just recieved another phone call they said were calling from Wachovia Bank.I
when confront the caller he call himself Charles Williams.I told him I knew this was a scam ,he tried to convince me that it wasn't.He told me he would verify the information he had and we could continue.I told him I wasn't the person he was looking for, he told me have him call him at this number so I call right back.I got- this person is trying to call you so please hang up and the line dies.

Received two phone calls from "Wachovia" today from this number asking to verify my account information.  I asked them what it was in regauards to and they told me only after I verified my information could they advise me.  I hung up on them.

My call was from Stephanie..I told her I needed to call wachovia to verify and she said they would send me back to her...I'll call the bank in the morning to find out if that is true...I didn't pick up the last time they called...turned the fax on going to bed!

Just as I suspected...DO NOT GIVE THEM INFO  Report to Wachovia..more people that do the better

The 186-665-4851 calls all the time. yesterday it called my phone 7 times  and all it says is 'representative' on answer machine. I also get calls from Wachovia. The last ID from them was 866-654-8515. If I call back they want me to put my account # in to continue. I don't have an account with them and I would never put my account # in anyway. But I just realized that the 186# is the Wachovia # with a one in front. 1-866-654-8515 (Wachovia) 186-665-4851 is the 'Representative' # without the last digit. I have reported to Do Not Call.
Who gives out these phone numbers? There has to be a person that signs up for them.

Received a call from this number today - stating they wanted to clear up an overdraft fee I have on my account.  They offered to settle the account for less than what I currently owe - and then said there would be a fee to pay it by credit card.  I then told them I wasn't interested and called Wachovia - they confirmed this was a bogus call.  The scary part is that they knew exactly what my balance was!  I am going into the bank tomorrow and changing all of my account numbers!  Be careful!!!

I got this call today.  Caller claiming to be from Wachovia.  I hung up and calleed my bank, who gave me a number to call about fraud.  This is a legitimate call, and the calls are made if there is an overdraft on an account, and the account has been in the negative for a week or so.

They keep calling and when the phone is answered, they hang up!

Scammers.  What a joke!  Just keep them on the line as long as you can so they don't have time to call some poor unsuspecting person.

Call this morning in the 843 area code (Charleston, SC). Did not stay on the line.

I got the same call this last week. I went down the my bank to speek with the manager about this. We all understand it's not Wichovia calling. But who gave my unlisted phone number to the bad guys and told them we where Wichovia customers??? I was told alot of stuff by Wichovia employees trying to explain this fact away. I was not comfortable with the answers, so I went ahead and closed all of my Wichovia accounts. I found a small bank with 5 locations, the service is better, the service fees are less, and they credit any ATM fees.

This number IS a real Wachovia phone number.  You will start getting calls from it when your account is over the limit for more than a couple days and about to be closed.

This is not a scam but an actual Wachovia number.  Call them before your account is closed.
