any idea whose number is this

Who calls me from this # (201) 204-0228? I get multiple calls per day from them on my company cell phone. When I answer they won't tell me who they are unless I verify my personal information: Social Security #, Date of Birth & Address. Are they stupid or what? Who verifies that type of info over the phone anymore? especially not knowing who you are speaking to.

Keep getting calls from this number and ignoring it.  No voicemail left. Called back and there was a recording saying it was Press Group?

ERS group they are a collection agency.They called my number looking for a Vincent whatever I tell them there is no Vincent they say sorry said my number would be removed but yet still got 33 calls within a 6 day period.Calls start around 8AM-9pm.If you block them they call blocked or from another number.

They call my land line pretty much every day. I finally answered and asked the person on the phone what company they work for and they said "ERS Group." Seems like a scam because they call from multiple lines.

Yeah this # is a scam.They called me and once i verified who i was they were trying to get me to send them money for something i never even heard.They call a million numbers trying to get some sucker or elderly person to agree on payments.They claim to be ERS group but i think its a not even them.SCAMMMMM!!

some woman called from this number, claiming it was regarding a legal matter. she wanted me to confirm who i was. I denied to confirm anything then she hung up.  this is the first time i was called from this number. it's very fishy.

This is a genuine debt collection agency.

The need you to confirm who you are first, so they do not break the law by revealing confidential financial details to someone other than the person they are trying to find.

They seem to do mainly supposed medical debts. DO NOT agree you have a debt, or you rest the clock on collecting any supposed debt. Instead insist that written proof is mailed to you first that you do owe anything in the first place. That way you will know whether it is a real debt, or a mistake.

Dude, it's not a scam. Didn't you read the other comments? It is a very ledgit collection agency. If there looking for you, you can best believe you owe money somewhere. They bought the debt that you owe and now they are trying to collect. I owe the hospital $1,200 and told the dude I'll give you $300. He said "you are in no way, shape or form able to dictate to me the terms of what you will pay". I said "oh really, well listen to the dial tone azz whip", click (dial tone) Now he is calling trying to accept the terms. He gets nothing and it will be off my credit report in 3 more years. I'm not a "dead beat" either but I will not pay the bill because of a lawsuit the attorney was suppose to pay.

It's a scam and you're a sucker for giving them the information.

Did you know that once you admit that you owe money and they record you saying so, and after identifying yourself -  the dept statue of limitations - starts all over again. If anyone is called by this number... the best thing to do is DO NOT AUTHENTICATE WHO YOU ARE, AND DO NOT ADMIT TO OWING ANY MONEY! this way the statue of limitation will be expired and furthermore, once the original company takes a loss on that account its illegal for those funds to be requested. Which is why they (the collection company paid cent on the dollar  and now ask you to confirm who you are and then to admit that you owe the money.... Once they have that information recorded they have you by the (*^&Q*^@) and they now have enough deviance to go to a judge and get a judgment against you with possible garnishment.
