2012281061 CALLED AND HANGS UP WE ARE ON THE DO NOT CALL LIST. THIS NUMBER WHEN LOOKED UP IS A LANDLINE IN NEW JERSEY ROCHELLE PARK BERGEN COUNTY. NO PROVIDER LISTED. NO TELLEMARKING COMPANY SHOULD CALL WITH AN UNDISCLOSED NUMBER.
Very rude - makes it sound urgent and we're on the no call list. He actually said to me, "The next time someone calls press 2 not 1." And he promptly hung up. Why isn't the Do Not Call List working. We shouldn't be getting these.
Same number 201.228.1061 wanted to know the make & model of our business printer. The lady said she worked for ADC. Didn't sound familiar, so I told her if we leased through them, they should have that info. HUNG UP
I got a call this morning from (201)228-1061. The auto message started out saying they had important informantion regarding the warranty on my vehicle and to clear up the matter immediately. So I pressed the number prompt for customer service (knowing it was solicitation) to get them to give me more information on their company - the reason for calling me and to be removed from their call list. The man was awfully rude from the start. He gave his name as Steve. I always remember their names for accountability. I said I was waiting for customer service to inform me of the nature of the phone call. He immediately asked for my vehicle i.d. number. I asked why. He quipted back, "Do you or don't you want the warranty for your vehicle?" I replied "You all called me, and I'd like to know the nature of the call". He said "Do you want to continue to pay out of your pocket for repairs or do you want a warranty?" I said that I was attempting to get details about the business first before I gave out information and again they called ME I didn't call them. He nastily snapped back, "Well if you don't want it, next time just press 2!" Then the unprofessional brut hung up on me. I called the number back several times to speak to a manager, but all I got was a busy signal. They're up to NO GOOD - preying on unsuspecting victims in some way.
I get a call from this number probably twice a week talking about extended warranty on our vehicle. We are also on the Do Not Call list. The extended warranty on our vehicle expired about three years ago, so we knew this was a scam since they state in the message "Important info on your vehicle's warranty that is about to expire..."
I too get calls from this number regarding an auto warranty, am on the no call registry, have requested that they take me off of their list. Somehow they've gotten my cell phone number and I just got a call on it. These people are RUDE and it appears we have no means of re-course, and that's why they get away with it. I'm TIRED of paying for phone usage that I have no control over, I'm tired of paying 50% in taxes on my phone bill. I'm taking a nap :)
I work graveyards and got a phone call from this number. Even though my deep sleep was interrupted, I pressed one and was directed to a lady who asked for my vehicle information. I said, "No, I'm not going to give you that, I would just like to be taken off your call list." She hung up on me. I suggest anyone who gets a call from this number inform the Federal Trade Commission at ftc.gov I am not sure if they can do anything without the company name, but it can't hurt.
There are rouge companies who decide not to adhere to the DNC list and call anyway; this appears to be one of them. They called me saying they're been trying to get a hold of me regarding my auto warranty. My car is 12 years old and has long been paid off. It has no warranty. I hope everybody out there complaining about this company is also reporting them to the FTC.
I JUST got a call from that number. I pressed 1 so I could speak to someone since they have been sending us mailers lately and I'm tired of it! The dealer I bought my van through has a warranty on it as per the loan and I'm really not interested in buying more warranty from anyone else. The guy didn't say his name, just immediately asked me for the year, make and model of my vehicle. I told him 99 Plymouth Grand Voyager and he had a hard time understanding what I was saying. He then asked me the mileage and I said I didn't know, I just wanted to tell them I didn't want an extended warranty. I didn't get anything. Not a BYE, not a F*** OFF, nothing. Just CLICK. Like he dropped the phone or slammed it down or something because it clanked around for a second before it hung up. He was VERY rude!
Does anyone know who this company is? I'd love to report them.
They called me But I was at work, I am a security enforcement officer, I am also a supervisor, I have good people that work for me, I am going to put them on this and find out who they are. The lady was very rude and my people like catching bad guys.
These people call me every week at least once and sometimes twice for the past 3 months. I pushed 2 to get off the list; and they still call. So I pushed '1' so I could talk to someone. The lady ask about the year and miles of my vehicle. I said "I don't want you g___d___ s**t, quit calling me". She said she would call back tommorrow. Who are these sons of a b***hes anyway? I sure would like to f____ them up!
I usually make it a point to look up the number on sites like this one before answering. I hung up after they wanted me to press #1 or #2. Another letter to the ftc. Btw, I have make it a point not to put my phone number on any direct marketing crap and even for onlime purchases. Get a spam/fakey email address and use it.
Same story as everyone else out here, get the schpeal of your car's warranty is expiring press 1 NOW TO RESOLVE. I pressed 1 and when the little twat asked for my year make and model I told him no and asked what this was all about... he promptly interrupted me yelling "WELL WELL WELL, YOU'LL FIND OUT TOMORROW!" and then hung up. I called back the line is constantly busy. Do what I did, file a report to the FCC https://esupport.fcc.gov/form1088/1088cform.do
they tried to tell me i was involed in a car accadent and that i needed to press one to resolve the conflect , i didnt awnser but they left a voice mail how the hell did theuy call my cell phone i thought itwas aganst the law to solicet to a cell phone
This auto machine called us about some urgent car warranty -- I was told to press 1 to clear it up, when I did it dumped my call. I have tried to call back and all I have gotten was a busy signal. We are also on the "Do Not Call List" as well. This must be only for outgoing calls.
I just received a call from the 1-201-228-1061 and got the same treatment as all the other people who have written their comments. It's a real nusance and a scam the some poor person might bee taken in by this group of rude individuals. I hope that there will be someone who will be able to discoverwho they are so steps can be taken to put a stop to it. I too have also received cards and letters from these individuals.
Hey, why the games, foo? Doesn't this moron have anything better to do then play on the phone? We actually have lives and shouldn't be wasting our time on bs like this. Answering calls from people that just bored.
Within 15 minutes of my return home from a week in the hospital, I received a call from 201-228-1061 telling me the problem was urgent and had to be taken care of immediately. I missed what the female voice said the problem was, but I was told to "press one" to start action. I did that, then became concerned and hung up. I once read of a scam where a victim was called and asked to push certain keys, for some persuasive reason, and that enabled the caller to make long-distance or some sort of toll calls charged to the victim. I notified my phone company, and was told I did not trigger such a thing, but that this number was pushing a scam. Let's shut them down.
