Every few days, I block this caller, but they get a new number (or just spoof a number) and I have to add the new number to my call block list.

   I allways take the call and press 1 to speak to a live person. I ask lots of questions. Sometimes I ask twice.  Even though I have -0- debt since this sounds like a really good deal,  I allways participate.  They ask for a credit card which usually takes me at least 5 minutes to find. I offer them a random string of numbers and they then ask me to hold.  They allways come back asking if I'm sure that is the right number. I then change one of the numbers and offer it to them again.  This typically gets a reaction.
Some better than others.  It's allways worth a laugh.

Received a call from this outfit this morning.  Press "1" to reduce your credit card rate.  I pressed "1" and kept them on the phone for as long as possible.  Finally, I told them that I really didn't appreciate their calls and wish they'd stop calling me and that it was abuse.  The guy on the other end started swearing at me!  Very very professional organization, huh?

EXCELLENT! This tactic of wasting as much of their time as possible is really the only thing that will ultimately make them go away. When they called this morning, I pressed '1' and played along, agreeing that I owed more than $2000 on my card. When I started to ask who they were (got out "who..."), they hung up. This is a really good sign that they are getting a smidge paranoid about being punked and likely are starting to hang up on actual suckers - can't stay in business long with that methodology...Hee-hee...

Just got another one of these calls. Pressed 1 and asked the guy the name of his company and for a number I could call back. He hung up. Just blocked the number. Turns out you can call the 201-243-4141 but just get the "remove from list by pressing 1" message. Wish there was a hack-code to enter to get to the switchboard or something.

Caller ID says "Consumer Services". When I answer no one ever replies. I get called by this number almost everyday and its extremely annoying. The Do Not Call List is ineffective anymore.

I've gotten numerous calls but didn't pickup since I didn't recognize the phone number.  But after a day or so of getting the calls, I called back to try to find out who/what the calls were about.  Instead I got one of those automated system to press 1 to be added to the do not call list.  Short on time and effort to stop the calls, I pressed 1.  Well, I'm pleased to say I haven't gotten anymore calls.

calls constantly.  I just answer, press 1, & then lay the phone down by the absolutely loudest TV or radio speaker in the house.  After a few minutes I pick up the phone & disconnect the call.  I used to block all these type of calls but the list is reaching over 100 by now.  So, if I'm home I just let them listen the my TV shows.

consumer services they call constantly, never leave a message and if you answer they wont speak. They constantly change their number. Just a bunch of [***] trying to rip you off. Block them and dont answer any number you dont know.

Cardholder services - Always is the last call if I don't take advantage of their offer but they keep calling even though only my answering machine answers.

Immediately manually blocked this number after I came home to find it on my caller id. I unplugged my answering machine so they don't reach anything, hopefully they will think there is no one home or it is an open line just ringing. Most numbers that reach that have not called back. I was once told by my local donotcall registry not to call them back, answer if you do not recognize the number or to press 1 or whatever number they want since that only alerts them to a live number and they wikll either continue to call or pass the numbers onto someone else. I have a call blocker device which can  block entire area codes (which I have done) and up to 1, 200 numbers. I do both area codes and individual numbers.

It's a scam! I have been getting calls from here for a year! Cardholder Services. Whatever.

The one click to remove doesn't work...they just keep changing the numbers!!!!!!!

Just hang up when answered,  then call back another day.  They seem to be checking for working numbers to sell to others..

I hit 1 then asked to be put on the do not call list, couldn't understand what that was, so I asked for a supervisor, was then hungup on.

This scammer calls numbers on the national do not call registry in violation of the Telephone Consumer Protection Act. They further violate the TCPA by failing to have an operator on the line when the call is answered, and still further by playing a recorded message without an operator on the line to pause or stop the recording and answer questions. When you do get to an operator, they further violate the TCPA by refusing to provide a phone number or physical address when asked - something that any legitimate business would do, even if it weren't required by law. This is clearly a scam, as they are trying to get your credit card and banking information claiming they are calling from your credit card company and need to lower your interest rates. Do not provide this scammer with any personal or financial information.
