Allied Funding, a pre-recorded message trying to sell a loan to small businesses.

I just got a new telephone # less than a month ago.  It rings constantly w/telemarketers, collection agencies, etc.  Today, it has rang 7 times, the last two calls were from 201-254-2044.  Most of these callers/auto dialers hang up when the answer machine comes on.
I am on the "Do Not Call Registry"  but it looks like I am going to have to change my number.

I received a call @ 11:37 a.m. today from 201-254-2044.  My answering machine was on and no message was recorded, but the caller ID recorded the number itself.  I called the number back at 7 p.m. tonight, because since this morning, I have received an additional 4 calls from an "Unknown Name" and no caller ID number.  The calls came in every couple of hours, the last at 6:32 p.m. tonight.  When I called 201-254-2044, I received a recorded message that said that this number was not in service and to check the number and call again.  If the number is "not in service" then how can someone call from it and have it recorded by Caller ID?  We are on the "Do not Call" list and our number is a private residence, not a business.

This type of "one way" phone number is regularly sold by the phone companies to those who would sell their mothers into slavery: telemarketers. The phone companies owe all of us an (1)an appology (2)a year's free service(3) a public flogging of phone company CEO's and other corporate officers. This combination of phone service provider/telemarketer relationship is kind of like when the exterminator brings a bottle of termites to help in the home inspection.

They called me from this number twice today so far. Once at 12:49pm and again exactly one hour later. When I try to call them back, it says the number is disconnected. Scum bags!

This is definitely a telemarketing scam. A pre-recorded message comes on and the rest is bla..bla... Don't answer and don't let it get to you...

I have been getting phone calls from these people for weeks.  I always hit option 2 to be removed but obviously that hasn't happened.  A few days ago I talked to one of their telemarketers and asked to speak to a manager.  All I got was "Umm... ah.... I don't know..." before he hung up on me.  Today, I hit option one to speak a human being, and all I got was a persistant beep.  I am beyond pissed!  Now I know the name of the company.

Just received a call from them today...I tried to call the number back, it states it is out of order. It is the first one I have ever received, so I will keep this site posted if they continue to call.

I got a call with a caller ID of 201-254-2044.  It interrupted a call I was on.  When I finished my call I looked up the number I found no info about the source of the call, just other people at this website with the same complaint.  When I dialed the number I got a recording saying the number was not in service.  Our number is also listed on the do not call registry.

Same story here.  I think the reason you get the disconnected message when you call that number back is that this is probably not a real number but a call made via the internet.   Their offer was a million dollar so I immediately knew it was a scam.

Same story as with all of them.  Phone rings; I don't know number & reject the call; no message left.  This one, though, came across as "+2012542044."  No dashes and no 1.

I work for a government agency and I believe the FCC prohibits unsolicited calls to federal, state, and local agencies.

got call answered and they hung up and this number that they are calling is a business phone. And this happens regularly.
sometime get calls from what sounds like a pakaistanie wannting to give a free web site which i don't want. Thanks to all those that sell phone #'s.
