Just got a call from them, tried calling back and got nothing.

I got a call just now and it only rang for a second.

Phone rang half a ring and stopped.  Didn't try calling it back.

Rang twice, hung up before I got to the phone. I called back and got a recording saying that I recently visited one of their affiliated sites and as a thank you they would like to give me a $100.00 gift card good for places like walmart. Sounds like a scam to me.

Same thing. Rang for 1 second and stopped.

I missed a call, on 5-28-14, around 2000 on the west coast, called it back and it said something about a rewards gift. I pressed 1 and it immediately connected to a person. They said I earned a $100 rebate and a $25 or 50 ( I couldn't hear it well and the lady had a foreign accent) American Express card. They asked for my address and how to spell my name so they could send it to me. I gave them my street address and before I could state my city, I was ased for zip code, and then was asked if I lived in a specific city/state( which was correct by the way). That was all done within seconds, though I suppose that information could be gathered by area code via caller ID. I was then asked for my year of birth (emphasized year only, they didn't want month and day). Then I was informed that they were not a shipping company and that I would need to use a credit card of some kind to pay about $4-5, but that I would be getting the $100 rebate and the American Express card. I asked why I was receiving this and I was just told that I had bought something from one of their affiliates which had made me eligible, and I had been selected (it was hard to understand and make out due to the foreign accent). I just stated I did not have money or a card available and I was asked if I was sure. Then I was asked if there was someone nearby that could loan me a card to pay it, and I said no. They said to call back when I was able to. I was assured that it was a small amount and only $4 something. I couldn't identify the company, and was informed that they were just some affiliate or subsidiary company of somewhere I had supposedly bought something online from. I believe the recent and most likely purchases I have made solely online had more to do with Amazon, but I have never had this happen before.

Got a call on my cell phone, which I don't give out generally. Figure it's a scam.

I have gotten a call from them twice, one just a few moments ago. Since I didn't recognize the number I let it ring - of course they never left a voice mail either time. After reading this I know this is a classic scam - obviously all they want is SOMEONE's credit card number. Glad you had nothing to give them.
If it gets to the point of being harassment, people-- please contact your cellphone carriers if that's how they're calling you. They can block certain numbers from calling you ever again. I've done it before and it does help, until the next scam artist comes along.

I have a theory about this. They cannot cll you if you are on the do not call list, but if they hang up and you call them back, they can call you back to sell you something because you had called them

Wow, I can't believe you went as far as you did with the phone call. It's clear by your post they are a complete scam. They obviously are interested in your credit card so they can steal the numbers. No legitimate business would operate in the manner you described.

Got a call from them on Saturday morning at 11:43am, one ring and then they hung up.

2 rings then hung up.  Didn't get a chance to answer

Because scam businesses are all about following laws....

Anyhow, I missed the called. No VM.  Not calling them back.

Scam. They will not give out their address. This tells me they are crook.
