This company called and said they were from the Government Grants department and then hung up. The person had a very heavy Indian accent. When I tried to call the number back it was busy.

got a call from this number but was unable to answer. Did not leave any message to my answering machine

person called met in South Africa wanting me to buy stock.
I told him to go [***] his mother.

is there a way to stop them from scamming?

I got an unsolicited call from this number this morning at 08:30, in South Africa.
The caller was a man with an Indian accent. He claimed to be from "Mackie Research" and asked if I knew anything about "Share Markets" (an unusual, generic term - VERY suspicious).
He claimed that they have an office in Johannesburg, South Africa.
He stated something to the effect that the market has done well, and the offer a service where they send you market tips 3 times a year, and would it be OK for them to call me back.
He asked for my e-mail address so he could send me information. I agreed so I could learn more about this SCAM. 1 minute later I received a blank e-mail with the subject "t". VERY suspicious. I flagged it as phishing.
He asked for my occupation and whether, if I was given a tip in the next few months, I would have 10,000 Dollars (presumably USD) to invest. Why would he use this currency if I am based in South Africa? I told him it was "unlikely".

THIS IS OBVIOUSLY A SCAM!!

Received a call from this number, man with Indian Accent, Only said hello the whole time.

I get phone call from 1-1201-373-8356 today. Caller was women and she was asking if I was (my name). I didint answer nothing just finished the call. I live otherside of a world and my number is secret. So I am pretty shure than the number is spam

I also get the same phone call today from this number +1(201)373 8356, on my iPhone it was recorded from Hackensack, NJ, United States, but this guy with Indian accent said his company is selling stock and wanted to email some details to me. Same case like Paul Urban above, he also ask what is my occupation.

He even said their company is located in Penang, Malaysia, which is where I live, and he can even call out my name (surname, not full name),  He also asked for my email address as like Paul Urban above, and I give him. Then I receive a blank email with subject "text"

Be Careful, this is a scam

Indian speaking caller from Toronto Canada so he says wanting to email a packet about his diamond company & wanting me to respond. Said that he didn't want to sell me anything, I'm sure just wanted to gain access to my computer & or send me a virus

Got a call at 10:36 am at my business, did recognize the number so I didn't answer. Whem the answering machine picked up they didn't leave a message.

Got a call in Denmark from the above number. Didn't respond.

This number called my work number this morning and asked for me by name. This  Lady with an accent  said she wanted to send me information regarding diamonds. I told her i was not interested and not to call my work again.

Rec'd a call from this number twice now, at work, gave them a fake email address, also claiming to have packages regarding diamonds... male caller named "Thomas" with an accent.  They will undoubtedly call again, and I will mislead them again.

I got a call from this number to tablet I missed the call but will follow up and get back to this site.... It could be a crawler call if they have so much info on the person they called they must be getting the information from some one or data base. I would not give my email address as it could be all they need for you to approve the search of your files on your pc.

received a call from this number for the second time this evening, the first time being about 4 months ago.

has called me over 20 times in the last 2 days.  Never leaves a message. I have now blocked them. Shows as being from New Jersey...

So dodgy, called me asking for my mum even though it's been my number for seven years. Every google result for this number sounds extremely suspicious as well

I got a call at 1:10 pm, eastern time, and a gentleman with heavy accent stated that he had opened a new company in New Jersey, he called me by my name and last name and zip code where I am located and said if it was possible to send a package of his new company to my address; so I said state more on your business?, I don't recall hearing from it, then he asked me in a very distinctive tone, can you hear he, can you hear me, me like a dummy trying to see if it is a business matter, I said yes, tried to call him back and busy!!!, We work hard to earn our penny and then you have these that pop out of nowhere, we don't have time for this!!! its definitely a Scam and will watch my At and T Bill very carefully. This Guy Works Alone and it comes from Hackensack, N.J.

Im having the same problem..Tge num still calling me 3 times already within this week...Thanks god I got an instinct to look foward thru google and found this page...Im not answer that call...Please stay alert to this scammer..
