called and never left a msg and just hung up! quite annoying.

I answered, but nobody on the other line. After about 5 seconds, the person/computer hung up.
It is annoying! It says the call is from Dumont, NJ...

Whoever this is just hangs up. Never leaves a message, don't think I have outstanding bills but if it was someone like that you'd think they'd at least leave a message

Caller will not identify self or what type of call this is concerning. Also asked that if it were a debt that they give the information on the debt and the reference number, they refused. Asked them to cease and desist with their calls if this was a debt collection. I told them I report it to our state attorneys office and also had there company's number and time recorded of their call. They replied have a nice day and hung up. I am sure they will continue to call if not from this phone number, it will be different phone numbers.

I think I may have a clue to this number? Can you tell me if you are involoved in a lawsuite or collecting workmans compensation? If so, then it might just be an investigator checking in on you and your activity.

called and hung up    ...i have NO outstanding depts so this could be more serious... like someone or company is gathering up phone numbers/ gender/ phone numbers that are active  for future use to sell for sales  or for future fraud attempts   ...

they same person called.. said they were calling to settle a debt 12 years ago.. i told them under the florida law they cant retrieve any monies after 7 years. they said have a nice day we will put it that you never had a bad debt.. funny thing was i never had a citibank cc as they said

With me it's a debt from 10 yrs ago. That law does not apply in SC. they not getting [***]!!
