I got a call from this # yesterday... [***] from Vonage phone service!!

I really doubt it is the Vonage service actually calling you.
What you see is the CID that says what service they're using,(its used to circumvente the laws requiring a CID, its usually either a telemarketer as in my case (cruise trip), or a collection agency.
Some states have laws that will punished "spoofers" such as the calls made to me.
I suggest you contact your state attorney generals office and relate what you seen, and heard, and see what they need you to do to register a complaint.
Some complaints result in fines and even awards to the complainant.

I just got one from this number, yet again. I've tried answering before, and telling them to remove my number from their call list. But then some other dumbass calls down the road from the number. I'd change my number if I though it'd do any good... but it wouldn't. I even get mail from Vonage, tryna get me to sign up with them. Apparently they don't get it when ya tell them that you woulda signed with them to begin with if you wanted their service.

I got a call from this number.  When I answered, a woman asked if she dialed [my number with one digit wrong].  I said no, and she apologized and hung up without trying try to sell me anything.  If it had been Vonage, I would have thought I'd have gotten a sales pitch.  It wouldn't have worked, though, because I had Vonage a few years ago and it was AWFUL!  The cheap price didn't make up for the chronic poor connections.

Holy crap this number...calls me almost every day. How do I get rid of them?!

201-806-9955 calls constantly day and night ~ no one responds ~ annoying

Vonage phone solicitor called me on my work line and tried to explain she could save me money on my monthly phone bill.  I explained to her that it was my work line and that I was going to have to release the call.

Very bad and I got this call many times but I never answer this call.

Called the number and after a brief sojourn in voicemail limbo, was connected to a living person at Vonage. At first she said it would take 4 weeks to get my number removed from all of their telemarketers lists, but when I asked why Vonage didn't use the National Do Not Call Registry, where all of my numbers are entered, and told her that for the next four weeks anyone who called me on their behalf would quit after experiencing permanent hearing loss due to my screaming abuse at them, she escalated the request. ("request" being her term; mine was "demand")

Got a call from this number on my work phone.   May have had another, but am un-certain.   There was a short (truncated ?) voice mail that mentioned Vonage.

Its a Vonage Rep harassing. I had a spanish lady harass me asking for my husband. He doesnt even speak Spanish. I called the number back, & turns out it was Vonage, & asked to be put on the do not call list. She called my residence twice in 2 days. Guess she is trying to make that sale, but Im not interested in Vonage.

The caller ID comes up as vontage and when I answer no one replys, they call serveral times all day long

I have had several call from this number , and they never left a message, Today I was home and they ask for my sis who does not live here, I ask if they wanted to leave a message, they said no ty.  When i answer there was lots of static, then after a little bit they said hello like I called them then is when they ask for sis, this phone has only been in service couple months and I have gotten like about then calls with no message.

This number keeps calling and not leaving a message. I do not want this company ever calling again

From Vonage Service Co.  The man was not letting me talk. I told him I was not interested since I already had VOIP with another company and I was not going to change.  I asked politely to take me out of their marketing list.  Haven't heard from them again.

Vonage on my caller ID...I picked up thinking it was legit but it was a Spanish speaking guy that knew little English, in fact, he told me that a few times...he then got someone that "know English," but actually seemed to know less English then the guy from before, lol. He asked if I "knew of vonage," I said yes and made that annoying "Woo-ooo-Wooo-ooo-ooo," sound from the commercials. He then then hung up.

Spanish accent lady asks to speak to the owner of the phone number, and then asks if it was a home or business number.   I told her if she was calling numbers without knowing who it was then it was none of her business.  DOORKNOB!

The trick, I discovered long ago, is to answer the call. When they ask for person "x", simply say in a trembling voice that they KNOW that person died recently, that you're having such trouble getting them to stop calling and that it is ruining you emotionally.

They don't call back... ever.

Of course on occasion it backfires. Had one distraught lady start telling me that she was going to have her whole church start praying for my family in our time of distress... Ugh. THAT made me break it out as only a last resort.
