Strong Indian accent and static line. Caller states he is from Vonage and will be lowering my bill by 50%. Advised I would be receiving an email then call him. I would be charged $120. security deposit for this new promo, and be paid back over four months.

Called and said I need an update on my receiver and would cost $299.00 for new receiver.  But my monthly bill would be $36.00 less a month.  Called Dish and they said someone called them to say we are having trouble with are receiver.  Which we are not. They said it was a scam.  Because one they never charge $299.00 for a upgrade.  Also the person who called me wanted paid over the phone with a check and I wouldn't give him any info.  Also checked with the person who we deal with locally when we have problems said he is still installing the same model number of our receiver to new customers with no problems.  He also said this is a scam and to return the receiver ordered when delivered.

Recd a call from this number, said he needed to update the vonage account scam!!

Called using the Dish Network ID and phone number.  Told us our dish equipment was out of date and we would need new equipment which would result in a $200 deposit to be paid separately after installation.  Called Dish.  Their records indicated I had called Dish to request the new equipment.  Dish took care of the problems

Said I needed to pay $240 for new receivers because new satellites would not work with the ones I had.They scheduled a tech and took my credit card info. Gave me the name  John Marshall and this phone number. I called Dish number on my receiver and they knew nothing about this. I called and cancelled credit card.

Received a call claiming to be from Dish they wanted to check what receiver i had, said it was outdated and scheduled a tech to come out. I was told there would be no charge for the equipment but a $150.00 install fee, but to compensate they would tack $20.00 a month of for 1 year, but needed a credit card number to process the order, i would not give it to them and called Dish after and they had no service scheduled.

Received call saying my DISH receiver was outdated and needed a new one.    They had a DISH caller ID on my phone.   Caller had strong Indian accent.   Would cost m4 $150 and they would knock $15 a month off my bill for a year.   They had my bill and amount I paid and also had the last 4 digits of my credit card.   Wanted me to reaffirm the card number because they needed that to charge for new receiver.   I would not give it to them.   They went ahead and scheduled tech.   Tech never showed.   I called DISH.   My receiver was just fine DISH said and they turned me over to their fraud department.   Indian guy called me again to see how I like my new receiver.   He told me he would reschedule.   I told him not to bother.   He got quite upset.

Got a call & they told me my dish box needed updating & the guy's name he said was Jack

He also cheated me out of $216.00

Got a call on 8/31/17.  Caller ID showed DISH network.  Said they were updating a satellite and wanted info. from our receiver.  Said we needed new receiver and tried to set up an appt.  We were told the new receiver would cost $150.00 @ installation and we would receive $20.00 credit to our acct. for the next yr.  Sounded like a scam by that time.  We got a number from the guy, sounded Indian, called it back, just got a recorded message.  Called DISH and found out this is a scam.  Go figure.

Got a call from this number offering Direct TV.... then

Said they were updating a satellite and wanted info from our receiver.  Said we needed new receiver and tried to set up an appt.  We were told the upgrade would cost $150.00 and we would receive $30.00 credit to our account for the next year.  The guy gave me the #, sounded Indian. They sent a link that said tech biz solutions and was connected to PayPal.  Which seemed super shady. Called directv and confirmed it was a scam.
