This number called and left an automated message about the IRS bringing charges against us and  told us to call this number back.  Obviously this is some type scam and we're not biting!

I also received this computerized message 20 minutes ago. When I called back the number on caller ID, a man with a foreign accept snatched up the phone immediately (no phone tree, no formal identification of the office or federal government) and demanded to know why I was calling him.

So I received a call from this number saying that I owe the IRS $5000.00 from 2004-2014. Saying that I was not paying my tax. This have to be some kind of scam. The lady who called Sound foreign

If you have a problem with your taxes, IRS mails a tax notification to your home address. They never call since they do not have the resources to call people. This is a scam. Ignore it!

I received the same message about IRS filing a lawsuit on me and to call the phone # back

Also received message from this number that I owed IRS and about pending lawsuit. Scam.... IRS only notifies through mail.

I missed a call on my cell phone from this number so I called the number back to see who it was and what they wanted and a foreign person that said this is the IRS Government what business are you calling about. I said I don't know someone from this number called me and the guy hung up on me. I Would say it is a SCAM..... I do not think that the IRS would call my cell phone it is a pay as you go...they wouldn't know that it was my number.

I also received this call.  They say that they are from the IRS and that you need to call them back.  This is obviously a scam.

DO NOT CALL THIS NUMBER.   I received the same message.   My tax rep told me years ago that if the IRS ever needed to get a hold of you, they will mail you a letter.  THIS IS A SCAM.

Received call. Didn't Answer. Called back and guy with foreign accent answered (with an attitude) saying "this is the IRS, how may I help you?" I hung up. Clearly a scam.

This number201-984-1776 called my daughter nd said she owe $7,900 for taxes from 2003-2014 so I called back acting like they called me they told me the same thing I told them a few words nd he hung up its a scam

Automated message says this is the IRS and we are filing suit against you.  SCAM.

I received the same call, I called the number back and instantly got someone with a heavy Indian accent. When she pried for my information I explained I would not give it to her when no part of me believed she was with the IRS and that it was clear I was not even speaking with someone in America. She went off on me, told me how insulted she was and because I insulted her I would be seeing her in federal court in Washington DC. She warned me I was being recorded and it was being sent to the IRS because her job and the slew of people I heard in the backgrounds job is to find the bad guys, and the cops were overloaded because of all the bad guys. When she threatened me again I went off on her, explaining she was not a employee for the Internal revenue service, they are professional, they do not threaten to ruin a families live because a employee was insulted for me pointing out the obviousness of her having such a heavy accent that she was clearly not native. She told me she was indeed with the irs and gave me a address in DC where she was located and again threated to see me in court in DC over 800 miles away.. yea. What a horrid scam! it better get shut down quick, that was ridiculous on so many levels.

I received a voicemail asking me to call back right away. When I called back they asked for personal info. I asked them to search with my phone number. They got aggressive. I provided my name and at that point she hung up. I believe this is for the purpose of generating data or leads. Certainly not the IRS.

Received call on 03/16/16 from 201-984-1776....hung up after a few choice words; who ever these people are they are not very bright using menacing recorded messages to make one cough up huge sums of money.  We have read about this in the newspaper and have heard about it on tv/radio.  How stupid can they be???

Watch for these scams!I called the attorney general of delaware on them n also called them 3 times snapping on them!I called them a scan n a fraud!watch these jokers!it's a new jersey number,not a delaware number!the irs are professional at that n send u letters!

Called saying this was their last attempt to get a hold of me for a lawsuit and to call the number provided.

I just received a call and returned the call and heard a million and one ppl talking in the back ground and when they told me it was the IRS they hung up on me.  I called again and I was hung up on.  I called again and I was told that I was being sued by the IRS. I said how is that if I have not gotten anything in the mail.  Before I can say SCAM! he hung up on me again.  Wow!! nothing better to do :)

voicemail message saying I have a lawsuit against me...but I knew that was a joke.  No reason for anyone to sue me...lol  Do people really fall for this?  I mean no one will ever leave a message saying you are being sued.  good lord...oh well I just it was a little funny as annoying as it is...and wanted to share.
