i got a call from this number twice the first time they asked for a Mr. Curry i believe the second time i answered and they hung up

i just got a call from this number also and they hung up, is  ' 000 '  a valid prefix? should i be concerned?

I got this number and it says my u.s. government used my number for money (5000) but i don't have 2 pay it

They called me twice and said something about it was the us government and something about money. the second time they called me a f#$%@+ and hung up, pretty funny.

I also have received two calls from this number. Both times the person identified him/her self as an employee associated with the U.S Federal Government Grants program. I was told that I was eligible to receive a $7,000 grant that did not have to be paid back and could be used for anything. Then I was asked for a bank account or credit card number so that the money could be deposited in my account. Both times when I pressed for the person's name again the call was abruptly ended.

I have filed two complaints; one with the FCC and one with the FTC.

Complaints will not help they are forwarding calls from overseas they have already ripped off thousands the numbers you cann call them back on and harrass them are 202 407 7177 and 7177. Call often and be as rude as possible these people are ripping little old ladies off for their retirement

Appreciated the comments, however, it is not clear why the FTC a/k/a Government cannot investigate this apparent scame, since the caller implies the funds will be comming from the Federal Government. . . .  Anything that comes with no strings attached is way too good to be true.  A full scholarship with no strings attached as to how the money is spent.  Since I refused to release any bank account numbers, or any prepaid card number, I will no doubt not hear back from the initial caller, who was going to call back within the hour - long gone past that hour.  

Some type of Scam I am inclined to believe

I have been receiving repeated calls from this number. Every time, they are incredibly rude then hang up almost immediately.

This number, 202-000-9966, has called me 4 times today. They called twice yesterday. I just get hung up on every time I try to answer it. Who is this?

they just keep saying hello

they keep calling me too, and I say hello, and they repeat hello, and I say it again and they say it; then they hang up..so annoying.

Block the number on your cell phone.  I did not answer this call because I did not recognize the number.

I got 2 calls from this number yesterday, i answer 1 of the 2 calls and told them they had a wrong number and hung up

today they call back, i try to call the number but it says the call cannot be complete.

i got the same call just last week. except i was going to get $8k   i told him to send me a check.  he kept puching for my bank info so i ended the call.
