this is a scam they pretend to be the IRS

Caller said he is from IRS, I told him IRS does not call.
He has Indian accents , and is an Indian. Just ask him to quit it.
I used some choice word for him.

He called us stating we have outstanding dues from IRS and will be arrested tomorrow. However later mentioned he is from DHS. On further questioning he hung up the phone. I called DHS and they stated this is not their number and IRS contacts you with certified mail not phone calls. He has an Indian accent and name given was Brandon T(P)aylor.

Save your money and call the IRS/ DHS and log a complaint. We googled the number that was given to us 202-204-0070 and there are lots of complaints against that number, this is a scam

I got call from the same number telling me he is from DHS and that I owe money to IRS. This is a serious scam. I called DHS and they told its a phone scam and that I should just tell them to F** off.

A lady called from this number three time with breaking in each time and said she is from IRS and I owe some money. She had in Nigerian Accent. I think they make up any accent of any country' voice to protect themselves. I don't give a [***] to them. I just hung up. They are scammers.

I got the call today and told me that there is an arrest warrant issued on my name from IRS. He is calling from IRS and does not give me his name. But ask me to call 202-204-0070 and talk to Brandon Tylor. The call was from 202-204-0070 as well. When I called back to find out what is going on, I was told that I own $498 to IRS for back tax from year 2010 to 2012.

He told me that I have to get a cash voucher from one of the stores - "CVS, Walgreens, etc." and wanted me to stay on the call and get the details when I purchase the voucher. The voucher will be from Green.back pak and cost me $4.95. He stated that someone from DHS - department of homeland security will come to your home to pick-up the voucher and give me receipt.

I was also told that my IRS account and details are frozen due to pending case.

Being skeptical, I told him that I can't take my home phone to Walgreens and I have to call him back. The I contacted IRS and found out that this is a fraud. Also, this web site helped me as well.

Please stay away and contact your local law enforcement. IRS or DHS does not send people to collect money. Also, IRS send registered letters for the Tax dispute and don't file case against without your knowledge.

I operate a tax firm and one of my clients received a phone call from Brandon Taylor stating that he's calling from the IRS and that there has been some fraud on his account.  My astute client contacted me with the phone number (202) 204-0070 and I attempted to call this number and received a message "call cannot be allocated" and then the line disconnected.  I then remembered calling the same number several months back (they probably blocked my phone number).

This is a scam.  The callers prey on unsuspecting tax paying immigrants (mostly of Indian descent) and force them to go to a convenience store or drug store and wire money to avoid having DHS and the IRS from raiding their home or business within in the next two to three hours.

My recommendation to my clients is to give the caller my name and number and state that I handle all their tax related affairs.  My office has never received a call from these "collectors" nor have they not called any of client back.

A guy (with Indian accent) called supposedly from 2022040070 (Washington DC#) and presented himself as 'David White' from IRS . Left a Voicemail...i laughed at it but going to report these MF**ers to authorties ASAP. Thanks for the page.

Received called from 2022040070. The guy, East Indian accent, said that there is IRS Fraud case pending against me and that the case will be filed tomorrow and the fees will go up. I asked for his ID and he gave me 3040893. Then I asked him what kind of case, what fraud and that I never got anything in writing from IRS. So he asked me to call Mr. Brandon Taylor and gave me his ID 639341 upon asking. I was just at IRS last week and there is nothing pending. This definitely is an imposter. IRS would send wriiten letters and Certified Mail for any outstanding amounts. Please beware and do not give any personal information. Contact IRS directly and find out if there is anything pending against you.
