It is a scam

a guy with a very strange, and foreign voice called me. I could not make out much of what he said but, was kind of a threat..and as if it depended on my life to call him back.  He called my number twice.

The caller was a foreigner, and asked me if I was so and so.  When I confirmed, I was told to hold on, someone would be with me momentarily.  I next person came on, with the same kind of accent, and said my name, and that he was with a law firm.  He continued to say that I owed money for a cash advance loan, that I had to pay back.
I told this person that it was not me, and I had not gotten a cash advance loan from anyone.  He proceeded to ask me not to interrupt him, let him finish.  I interrupted himagain and said that I did not get a cash advance loan.   He tried to over talk me, with a load angry voice, saying that I had a cash advance loan, and it must be repaid immediately, or I would be arrested on Monday past (March 5, 2012).  I told him loudly that I did not get a cash advance loan, and slammed the phone down.
I called the number back, and said to the person, "are you the person that just spoke to me"?  When he said yes, I told him loud and clear, I had not gotten a cash loan from anyone, and don't call my number again.
Needless to say, someone called me again, from that number again, yesterday.  When they asked for the name, I said "who?", and the phone went dead.

This so called Scott Thomas with a very thick indian accent said he worked for a law office and that he was calling because I owed money and a law suit had been filed against me. And if the situation was not rectificed immediately I would be arrested and in jail for 6 to 9 months. He will not stop calling even after I told him that he needed to send it to me in writing and I would then turn it over to my lawyer. I do not know who this person is or the company he said that I owe money to. But I do not like to be threatened or harrassed which is what is happening here.

Steven Johnson has been harassing me at work for days up to 15 times a day.
I have no idea what they are talking about.
He told my boss I was getting arrested for fraud.

Can anyone stop this people?

I started receiving these calls about two weeks ago. They call me about twice a day, I've blocked the number from my cell but somehow they are still contacting me at work. I was going to apply for a payday loan about a month ago, clearly I made a mistake doing so because these wack jobs got a hold of my information and are now threatening me with a lawsuit and jail or something on like 6 counts of nonsense. The mistake I made was confirming my name, I should have just said NOPE don't know who you are talking about because on the first call they asked a series of questions including asking me to confirm the last four digits of my social, so now when they call and I say, "You have the wrong number." They say "No we don't UGH" I hate it!

I have no clue who this guy is but it needs to stop I get very bad voicemails from him and the guy can't even say my name right I need to know how to stop this guy from calling me I don't like being told what to do from a person who doesn't speak english very well

i was also called and threaten ask me to fax my id and address to them if i did not iwould be arrested for a payday loan called yes which i have know ide who they are .

they told me that if I didn't not pay this off that that thewy would see me in court and I would go to jail

I own a business, Lu Lu's groom & board, in Albany, La. I get at least 2-3 calls a week looking for a gentleman that we do not know, we try to explain that this is a business and it is almost as if this person does not understand. He is an Indian man. Last week he called me a 'Loser', today he told one of my employees that answered the phone to tell him the same thing... he said "I love you ma'am, do you understand me? I LOVE YOU" she asked him to never call again and hung up. If you call this number and ask who they are he is very VERY RUDE. Asked me if I wanted him to fight me, that he could do it... how can I even report this? This is harassment, what if my son answered the phone?! This man will say anything, cusses, threats, lies.... he is to me untouchable!

SAme inidan accent male - threatening wioth legal action to pay a debt that I do not owe. Told him repeatlyb to shut-up and then I hunged up on him - block his phone number with Do Not Distrub. This is a telephone service from wireless company to block phone number that are harrashing you. It works!
US Cellular has this service.

There is no way to stop these people short of changing your number. They have called repeatedly and even threatened to have me arrested from my job. I have advised them that I have been to my local pd and they still keep calling. They stole your information from a website that you may have used to apply for a payday loan. They have all kinds of personal information down to ss#, banking info, work, home, etc... Good luck and turn them into the federal website for fraud.

I used an air horn the 2nd and 3rd time he called. He quit calling after that. lol

I received 2 calls this moening from this number claiming I was in legal trouble and would be arrested in the PM. They would not explain what who or why.

I have been receiving disgusting calls from this man all morning.  When you tell him he is a scan artist he starts talking filth to you.

So had these punks call my phone twice this morning. I did my research and called back to the 202 239 1239 number. Spoke with a heavily accented male who told me that I owed money to Cash Advance pay day loan and that I would go to trial for fraud.  I asked him what law firm he was from and he said Kivigehan Law Firm.  I asked for more information and he muttered something about my social being blacklisted. I asked how can they blacklist a social. And he Hung the phone up. I called back and stated I was calling the FTC, FCC, and the FBI and I was going to sue his company for violating fair debt act. he laughed and hung up.  Thank goodness for these forums out here!

Well I'm glad I found this forum. He told me ppl would be here with documents withing two days. So I called the police on him. Also he knew the last four digits of my social. So now I'm gonna [***] around on him. ;).

A man from this number called me saying I owe him money and that they will go thru my job to get it and I told him I haven't worked in 3 yr . Then he goes and tells me about a bank account that I don't have in California, I told him I has the wrong person and he then starts threatening me saying i will go to jail. I told him to leave me alone and go f*@$ himself and he began to yell at me telling me to suck his d*%& and he will f*#^ me , I filed a compliant with the federal govt

I got a call from him today also.  Needless to say, call forwarding works wonders.  I harassed him for about an hour calling and hanging up, blocked my number and told him I knew about his scam and he was being reported at that very moment.  I finally got it to where if you called the number all you got was a recording and no answered the phone then I went onto my account on comcast and set it up so that just his number would automatically ring to the FBI headquarters every time he calls me.  LOL  I bet he leaves me alone now.
