Now have received 2 calls from this number. I don't answer calls if I don't recognize the number. Left a message (slight Indian accent) said he was calling from the IRS and that my phone and address was being monitored by the IRS.  And that I must call them back today. 202 is a Washington area code.

Got the same message.  exactly the same.  I think it is [***].  I will ignore.  My dealings with the IRS in the past at work have always come via certified mail not a phone call from an indian guy.

Totally bogus!!! I called back because of a real fraud case I am perusing thinking the IRS was finally contacting me.  "Hello may I help you" Say what!? Antenna go up.... I thought I was calling the IRS.  "are you Rick Kelley? I am inform you fraud charges will be filled by IRS do you have criminal Attorney?" Whats your name? "Officer Jonathan Miller"  Where are you? "Washington"  O Spokane......No address?......No case number?     KISS MY GRITS!!!!
