I received a call from someone calling themselves John Santana  from this number saying I was involved in a DEA/customs investigation regarding by medications from the internet illegally. Lots of threats of heavy legal action if I don't cooperate, talk about dangerous Columbian drug lords and even talk of being put into a witness protection program. Really. He gave me the number of his superior officer at cmdr robert givens at 866-340-7388 x2 which was was a voice mail machine claiming it was some branch of the FDA. He called me back and said it was a "joint operation" and gave me another number (field office) at 617-252-8207. He also said something about threats of extradition from the government of the Dominican Republic and that he was going to "help me with it". I close the call and then I called this person and he said that this Santana person reported to. This was a Boston area code (I recognized it) but he said that was a Washington DC office, which was the first real tell. I look up the 617 number and find some site with similar stories of threats from this number. Santana calls me back and I then ask for him to tell me my SSN if he know so much about me and he got very hostile and that he had a warrant for my arrest and would send someone to my house to arrest me. He had my address to which was especially disturbing. He gave me a phony badge number too. I played it like I was being compliant as I was still unsure of what these people were capable of. Finally I get a call from someone at this same number (202-239-5571) but this time it was someone calling themselves James Thomson and that I if I am not cooperative I would be arrested. I then ask him if he could tell me what my middle name was upon which he got very hostile, started swearing, saying how I thought I was being clever but that was going to go to a federal prison and that agents were going to be sent to my house. I called his bluff and told him to go ahead. That was the end of it.

They whole thing took a lot of my day, made me miss an appointment, and left me pretty rattled. I reported this to the DEA, the local DA's fraud complaint line and am going to report the numbers to the FCC, but I am pretty sure that would be as good as farting into the wind.

Recieved a message from 202-239-5571.  Caller left a message to call him back, regarding a "very serious matter" regarding a DEA investigation.  He mentioned the words "warrant" and "search", but not search warrant.  He sounded very legit...

I was concerned initially, but relieved after checking the internet.  Do not be intimidated by these low life scum suckers...

DEA Warns Public of Extortion Scam by
DEA Special Agent Impersonators
The Drug Enforcement Administration is warning the public about criminals posing as DEA special agents or other law enforcement personnel as part of an international extortion scheme.

The criminals call the victims (who in most cases previously purchased drugs over the lnternet or by telephone) and identify themselves as DEA agents or law enforcement officials from other agencies.  The impersonators inform their victims that purchasing drugs over the lnternet or by telephone is illegal, and that enforcement action will be taken against them unless they pay a fine.  In most cases, the impersonators instruct their victims to pay the "fine" via wire transfer to a designated location, usually overseas.  If victims refuse to send money, the impersonators often threaten to arrest them or search their property.  Some victims who purchased their drugs using a credit card also reported fraudulent use of their credit cards.

Impersonating a federal agent is a violation of federal law.  The public should be aware that no DEA agent will ever contact members of the public by telephone to demand money or any other form of payment.

The DEA reminds the public to use caution when purchasing controlled substance pharmaceuticals by telephone or through the Internet.  It is illegal to purchase controlled substance pharmaceuticals online or by telephone unless very stringent requirements are met.  And, all pharmacies that dispense controlled substance pharmaceuticals by means of the lnternet must be registered with DEA.  By ordering any pharmaceutical medications online or by telephone from unknown entities, members of the public risk receiving unsafe, counterfeit, and/or ineffective drugs from criminals who operate outside the law.  In addition, personal and financial information could be compromised.

Anyone receiving a telephone call from a person purporting to be a DEA special agent or other law enforcement official seeking money should refuse the demand and report the threat.

There is no Robert Gibbons or Givens with the FDA.He Robert Gibbons or Givens) called me from 617-252-8207 threatening my arrest. I called the FDA and was reassured that this was a SCAM. Run and don't even answer the calls or listen to the messages. I already was scammed out of money and had many sleepless nights over this. They are liars and theives!!! Don't believe a word they say.

This number is being used by scam artists pretending to be DEA Agents, and telling people to send them money.  DON"T BE SCAMMED!  Hang up on them.

This happened to my roomate today he ordered medicine over the internet and got scammed out of alot of money, a guy from the number 617-252-8207 said he was a DEA agent and had a lot of personal information about him saying that if he paid the fine the warrant would be dropped. This is all a scamm and these people are hostile and threatened to search our house and take him to jail. PLEASE BE AWARE of the SCAMMERS. They actually had us going for a bit, then we started to piece things together.. NOW he is out alot of money.. I hope these people rot in HELL for what they do.

I have missed several calls from this number, and today I answered. This idiot tried the same routine on me calling from  202-239-5571. He called me today claiming he is "officer Nick Delgatto with DEA enforcement agency" lmao!! Those were his exact words! omg this is great! The accent added to how funny the entire thing sounded. He couldn't pull it off even for one rehearsed sentence. The street slang just kept popping out, and based on his vocabulary, he sounds like he might have a second grade education , or less. When he goes off script the insecure little dime store variety thief presents himself, and out the window goes the DEA impersonation. Just ask him questions, anything, simple questions blow his mind, and he cannot think of anything to say, and he gets nervous and begins cursing, or stuttering. He has very simple undeveloped communication skills. In fact, he sounds as though he is either mentally [***], or has a severe learning disability. It's comedy...pure gold comedy that someone so incapable of communicating intelligently, is trying to pull-off a phone scam. lmao! I encourage anyone in need of a laugh to call: QUOTE: "Officer Nick Delgatto on behalf of DEA enforcement agency"  OMG ICQLMAO!! his words! You cant make up stuff this good!!

So, I just received a voicemail from "Kevin Coleman of the Washington headquarters of the DEA", needing to speak with me about a "case" he's working. This guy must seriously be stupid. I get the impression that he thinks that everyone he calls is unintelligent, backwoods inbreeders. He can't seriously think that I am this stupid! Can he??? This same guy has been calling my cell every few weeks for over a year leaving messages saying that some perscription that I have never had is available for the low low price of $375.
First he tries to get you to give him your CC info for some non-existant pain medication, then tries to threaten you with arrest? I cannot wait until he calls me back so I can toy with him. I'd know that Philly accent anywhere!

P.S. Law enforcement personnel ALWAYS show respect by calling people Mr. or Mrs. so and so. If someone pretending to be some type of officer does not do this, assume it is a scam!

Lets put this to rest.  Its a scam pure and simple.  People, please disregard and ignore anyone calling and representing themselves as a dea (or any other type of federal or law enforcement agent).

YOU HAVE NOTHING TO FEAR.  This is completely fake and NOTHING will happen to you or your family, These jerks have absolutely no power over you whatsoever unless you let them by falling for their nonsense.

If you have the gumption, try and keep them on the line as long as possible.  Make-up any information they are requesting from you on the spot.  Keep them talking, pretend you are scared and maybe, you will be able to obtain mailing addresses, real phone or fax numbers, or any other information you can use to assist the REAL authorities in apprehending these fools.

If you're not in the mood for any of their games, remind them that impersonating a federal officer or agent is a felony and watch how quickly they will disappear!  Rest easy and think to yourself that this type of call is utter BS.  Take control and tell these guys where to go!

It is very important to file an FCC complaint anytime you receive calls like this.  If enough complaints are registered, eventually these calls may stop.

I got the same call...took up a lot of time, guy calling me every couple of minutes, I finally told him to go ahead and have me arrested.  He called back yelling that he would see me in jail by 11...then called again and said by the end of the week...but by then I was just listening to the voice mail and not picking up the phone.  Once as James Allen, once as Michael Hagg.  Who pretty much gave himself away when he stumbled over the spelling of his own name.  First names... almost everybody can spell their own....
It did give me quite a scare, with the talk of sending me to Dominican Republic, and all that.  Good grief!

I had the same calls today.  Just ask them questions and the person will get upset and end the call.  My guys was calling from the "FDA Criminal Department".  I have a few numbers 757-447-4854, 410-929-7743 and 410-439-7203.  I Googled these numbers and they are all a Verizon number in Maryland.  I would assume the FDA uses a land line.  My guy was John Sponks or something like that. It ruined my day.  Don't let these fools do the same to you!

These guys are completely ridiculous haha!! These guys were a little scary. At first, they'll use a halfway average strategy of attempting to intimidate you by stating that you'll need to make a court appearance and they have a search warrant and blah blah blah. Well, after they have ya freaked out they'll play good guy and tell you that they will do what they can to drop "charges" as long as a fine is payed. Then it gets silly and they request that you wire funds from some odd liquor store haha!! It's hilarious thinking about it after it happened to me :)

I received a call this morning from someone with a very thick accent (202-241-7907).  He told me he was with the DEA and was working on an investigation dealing with the online pharmacies and wanted to ask me some questions.  I said ok, but I don't know what you're talking about.  He asked me if I knew buying prescriptions online was illegal....I said..uh.. No, but since I didn't buy them online it didn't matter.  He then sped up his talking and said well ...he had a warrant for my arrest and I could spend 2 or 3 nights in jail...and then turned up the scanner/radio that was going in the background and yelled at another guy(I didn't get the name) and said something like go ahead and get her. And then he hung up.  

He never mentioned money and hasn't called back.  I figure that either he realized that he wasn't going to get anything from me because I sounded clueless or he was setting me up to call me back.  I was confused and a little concerned.  I'm glad that I found this website.

I received a call from a DEA agent named Thomas Harrington in California phone number 415-692-2884 who stated he was investigating my purchase of online drugs from the Domican Republic and that he had a warrant for my arrest. He had and accent and it was difficult to understand what he was saying. I told him I never bought drugs on-line from any pharmacy outside the US. He said it did matter and that I could explain it to a Judge in California and the police will be knocking on my door in 13 minutes to arrest me and that I face jail time of 94 months in a Federal penitentary. He asked me to write down the case number which is 846/13493867/CPLK89.

He went on to say that I could resolve this issue by paying online using my debit card in an amount of $3500.00 but he would first need approval from Judge Lawrence O"Neil. He made believe that he put me on hold. When I said I wouldn't give my debit card number over the phone he said I could go to my local DEA office in Savannah locate at 415 W, Brougham St. 31401. He wanted to know if that was convenient.

He had know idea where I lived because Savannah is 200 miles from my home in Norcross, GA, a suburb of Atlanta, GA. I told him to that I was not going to Savannah and to send the police.

Just got the same call from 202-239-2860, threatening to arrest me and put me in jail for 3 months minimum unless I paid $2500 today by credit card.  When I asked for documentation, he hung up.

I received a phone call before 8 am with the message that he had a warrent for propterty search and an arrest and 3 years of federal prison time, so I should better call him back immediately. His name was Tony Angeles. I called the number what the heck this was about and again he made a bunch of threats. I called back again asked for "Tony's" supervisor to verify the call and launch a complaint, but he said  Tony had stepped out. I repeated "I did not ask for Tony but for his Supervisor" he kept asking what is your complaint? I kept asking for a supervisor. He finally said there is not supervisor, that Tony was the agent in charge of that DEA department there. BTW, the person (when I would call back to get a "supervisor" the person I spoke with identified himself then as Brian, but you can hear easily that it is the same person). The phone number he called me from is 202-241-2908. I called the local Police department to report the threat, they called the number I gave them , the police officer also called the DEA and said they are aware of the scam and there is no such thing anybody in their dept. would do. The officer said he also spoke to the District attorney's office and they would continue with the FBI. He thanked me for calling him as this would aid them in their (ongoing) inversitgation.

Folks, anytime you get one of these calls, ignore them or blast them with an air horn.  The numbers you are seeing are magic jacked, and made to look like they are coming from Washington
DC.  This is a long running scam and widespread -- there is nothing they can do to you -- the authorities are aware and tracking them down...these criminal rings start in the dominican republic and costa rica, but are not limited to those areas -- if anyone asks you for money, it's always a scam.  If you don't know who it is on the caller id, don't answer.  If these idiots are stupid enough to leave messages, let them -- it can and will be used against them -- it is a criminal offense, a felony, to represent oneself as a federal officer or agent.

I received a call from a DEA agent from Port Chester, NY. She to me her name, which was a LT >>>>>>, and told me they had a package that I had ordered some time ago, anf I needed to call them back because said they have a warrant to search my home, for my arrest.  She left the number for the office and her extention.  I checked this number and is for the DEA office in NY, but I do not even live in that state and I have not purchased anything from anyone online, except for once and found out it could be illegal.  I cancelled the order and my bank account.

What do you suggest, I am scared to death and do not know rather to call this LT. back or disregard.
