it is a scam, and a hoax..no real lawyer would leave such a threatening voicemail on your phone and then demand money, they should be reported to the local police department

"law office of winston and associates" saying if i didnt pay them the "$300" i supposidly owe them the police would come arrest me and id lose my job. First off that would go to small claims court and i wouldve recieved a notice first, secondly it wouldnt be handled from a law firm in washington dc. guy says some super american name but has a strong indian accent. After i asked about all his information he hung up and wouldnt pick up when i called back. DONT GIVE THEM YOUR MONEY

I am getting the same message from these idiots, threatening to call the police on me and have me arrested for something I have no idea about.  Furthermore, when I tried to ask what law firm they were with, the man got belligerent threatening to turn my case over to the police...now, does that sound legitimate?  I didn't think so!

I am getting harassing calls from a person claiming to work for a law firm, Winston & Associates.  When I asked what law firm it was, suddenly he got angry and threatened to turn a case over to the police.  For one, this person has two names he's gone by, and the voice is recognizable....foreign, with little understandable dialect.

I just got a call from Kevin Watson claiming to work for Winston & Associates in Washington DC. He called my home phone number and left a message with my kids stating he was going to issue a warrant for my arrest. I called the number back and he had the last 4 digits of my social, my email address and my recently married new last name. He tells me I owe some payday loan company some money and I need to pay. I tell him I have never had a payday loan online before who is the company. He hangs up. I call back and he tells me since I claim I didn't owe the $$ that I need to be in court in washington dc to address the charges. I live in KC. So I look the company up, there is no listing for Winston & Associates in Washington Dc nor is there an attorney in Washington DC named Kevin Watson. This person got my information because I applied online last friday for a credit card.

My daughter recieved a call from this Kevin Watson character stating that he was an attorney from Winston and Associates. He was very irate with her stating that he was going to call her job and threatening her with being sued about a loan that she applied for but never accepted. She was very afraid because she is barely 18 and never had to deal with such a thing. I then called him on behalf of my daughter to find out what the problem was and he could not give me any information just to tell me my daughter was a thief and she is going to jail then proceeded to hang up on me(WOW)...now what kinda lawyer could that be. I then proceeded to call the original lawyers of Winston&Associates located in Texas, and told them the situation and they told me that it was indeed a fraud, he is using their company name and that this person who calls himself Kevin Watson is not part of their establishment and that they also tried to call him and he will not respond to them.The lady advised me to make a police report and after talking to a detective me and my daughter were advised to not have anymore contact with him and to block his number in which we are doing. I am sure that he will be investigated..It is a scam

I got a call a few mins ago from a man claiming to be a mr. kevin watson from the law firm of winston & associates out of washington dc....he needs to be stopped. asap!

Yes i to have been threatened by this so called company it is a bunch of bull they cannot threaten you with arrest or charges you would have to recive notice from someone or a certified letter tell them off and hang uo we are all struggling in these econmic times im not going to lat a foriegn caller threaten me in a language that i can barely make out just tell them give me your home number and i will have my lawyer  call you

I am getting threatening calls on my cell phone, saying its a law office and need to pay them 300.00 plus, called my work harassing me, saying if I dont send green dot or western union they will drag me into court and goes on with a bunch of crap! Im pissed.....Can't even understand him.....

This guy calls my # says he is called kevin watson and that I am committed FEDERAL bank fraud. He will be contacting my job to get me fired and contacting the police. I hung up on him.

I got the call this evening from "Kevin Watson" as well, saying he represented Winston and Associates in Washington DC and that I stole money from a payday loan company. He said that I would have to pay over $8000 in fines and possibly spend 2-5 years in prison. When I asked him to mail me certified copies of the affidavit he became extremely billigerent and told me that "I have no right to tell him what to do and the documents will get there when he sends them." This guy is a scumbag and needs to be stopped!!

I just received this call and when i asked them who they were, why and where they were located, the person on the other line got pissed and said he was tuning me over to the police. I then took their number and reported it to my cell provider to block their number and also am reporting it to the BBB. When i told them that, they hung up.

Got a call from a man who identified himself as atty kevin watson from winston and assoc i know exactly how they found me i applied for a loan that was not secured he had mostof the correct info except one important one that he got wrong he knew i had a loan out for a certain amount and threatened me and said i needed to send him money or else i would be prosecuted and go to jail

I received a phone call on my cell number and also a call from thrteatening to arrest for a pay loan that i never received.  He started to threaten me with the police and put a warrant out for my arrest.  When I started to tell him that I never received a payday loaen on line for $$$.  He started yelling and my told me he was an attorney and threatened me even more.  Advised me I had to make a $$$$ money order payment thru money gram or western union.  Told him I quote would but after work.  Never did call back to get infor for sending a money gram.  will not call back.  Told me that person that called me was a paralegal.

They called me a month ago and did the same thing, but never wanted to send me documents.Then claimed to be calling the FBI to come get me the next day, guess what i'm still serving in the military..This is def a scam.They called again today and i confronted them and kept being rude with them.Told them it was a scam and he got quite...

he called me and gave me the same spill i told him i didn't have a payday loan...he got pissed and told me i was going to jail that he would see me behind bars......i just called him back and cursed him out.....

I just got a call on my cell from this Kevin Watson guy stating he was an attorney, then after he left a voicemail (can't talk on cell at work) he called my work phone number which is quite odd because I work witha  big company and we all have seperate lines, but he got my number and told me my last four of my social which really freaked me out so I called my mom to tell her, and she looked up the number and told me it was a scam!! But I was terrified because I am only 19, and have never had a loan before so I didn't have a clue what he was talking about!! But I saved the threatening voicemail he left me, and also if a number like 916-287-3958 calls don't answer it, he is doing the same thing, he told me a sheriff was going to be at my job to arrest me the next day and wished me luck!! I think these people need to be stopped!!

This is the third time a supposed debt collector has called my mom, this is a new number and is a total scam. The last time I had my husband call back and told him we wanted the case # that he supposably had and he wouldn't give us anything. They are saying they are are from Winston and Associates out of Wash Dc and said to call back "Kevin". Wish they could be stopped!

They have done this to me so many times over the last few years...I keep calling them back repeatedly over and per til Jason or John or whatever name he is going by today gets mad....he tells me if I'm so smart to investigate before I accuse them of being a scam and that hell see me in court...I told him I hope his English was better in court lol. Word to the wise: all they are soon is trying to get you to say yes so they can record it and say that you gave them permission to access your bank account...9 times out of ten when you fill out an application online you usually enter a bank account...they Already have access but they screw you so that they say they had your permission!!! It's evil taking people's hard earned money that way and their number is always fake they are usually not even in the us cuz everytime over the years that they call me it's always a different number. If I were you don't bother answering it as if you do state that you know it's a scam and they'll get mad and leave you alone
