- sey| 1 replyclaimed to be from IRS crime investigation division and was looking for someone who wasn't home. He finally hung up.
- BeckyThe caller identified himself as Chris Marshall and said he worked for the crime investigation division. I was told I owed the IRS money and that the local Police will come and collect the money.
Speaks bad English and is very hard to understand.
Definite SCAM.- Caller: Crime investigation division
- rune nilsenwhat is this
- JanCaller said he was from the Criminal Investigation Unit of the IRS. His English was so bad I couldn't make out most of what he was saying, but did catch that the police would be out to my house if I didn't get in touch with them at this number.
- OKB| 1 replyGot the same type of call, criminal investigation unit, could not understand him, he also wanted me to send money today due to IRS problem. Said local police would be out to my house if I hung up.
- HoS replies to OKBI got the same call. Left a message and difficult to understand English on my machine saying he was with crime investigation and that I needed to call the number to keep from being picked up by the local police.
- DonttazemebroI got the same call 2/22. I could barely understand the guy. It sounded like a call center in India in the background. I told him if he wanted to run a successful scam in the U.S. He needed to speak better English.
- AKGot the same call today, sounded Indian but identified as Mark Anderson from US DEPT of Investigation. Said there is an arrest warrant against me, wouldn't give me my full name and it was in regards to my 2013 tax return. I have not even filed my taxes for 2013, what a stupid criminal!!!!!! These people should be caught and punished for scaring people like that.
- LNReceived the same call from a poorly spoken man claiming to be from the US Department of Investigation stating I was a victim of identity fraud. I knew it was a scam as I could not understand him and he could not understand me. I realize it wasn't the best idea but I pretended to be worried and asked what I should do - he responded but I couldn't understand what he wat saying and I finally just said look "how about you just put me in jail and I can get some sleep". Again, I don't know what his response was but he was extremely irate.
- GNReceived a call similar to all the others on 2/25/14. IRS investigator with poor English and accent saying the police would be picking me up if I didn't respond to them.
- Caller: IRS
- JaraAn asian indian accent man left a message on my phone accusing me of 3 crimes related to IRS, home land security about sending money to foreign counties. He identifies himself as an IRS investigator. My case was a serious crime. He talks about DSS, NOA, Case number which I did not get. He left the message on my home phone. He offers two solutions either pays through CVS pharmacy voucher $913 or he will call a local police to arrest me. The other option is he is sending a local homeland security officer to get cash in front of my house.
- Caller: IRS investigator
- Call type: Prank

It is a scam. But it is really important you all take the time and report your experiences to the policing agency, which is the Federal Trade Commission, and get a case #. I did.- Caller: IRS
- D.J.Smith| 1 replyCaller left msg saying he was with the criminal investigation and would be arresting my son within 72 hrs if he didn't respond to call. He spoke horrible English and you could hear multiple people talking in the background, like telephone solicitors. Stated the local police dept would be making the arrest. I had to repeat msg 4 times to understand what he was saying. Very thick accent, either Asian or Indian.
- Caller: Criminal Investigation is what they said but not likely
- Jerk Buster replies to D.J.SmithI encourage everyone who gets called from these jerks to call them back CONTINUOUSLY (every 30 sec). Apparently, they are stupid enough to use a phone line for their restaurant business (There is an Egyptian restaurant in EGYPT that has this telephone number listed on their Facebook!) to make this call. The continuous phone calls apparently clogged their line up and THEY DON'T LIKE IT!
I got a call this AM from these jerks at number 202-241-2126. I really got pissed off and called them back every 30 sec. Initially, there is just a message stating that "this mailbox does not accept messages." Eventually, the phone line opened up. It took about 40+ calls until these jerks were so bothered that they finally picked up, and even called me back on my cell phone. At first, these jerks got into cussing and threatening match with me (at least, I think that was what it was since I really could not understand them very well). Eventually, after another 40+ calls from me leaving 40+ message "whoever the [***] who called me today and pretended to be CIA agents, pick up or I will keep calling all f...... day," some other jerk finally picked up and POLITELY begged me not to call because it disrupted his "restaurant business." He pretended to not know who called me but said he will find out and will tell him not to call me again, POLITELY.
The most important thing I got from this is that the barrage of continuous calls DOES disrupt whatever "business" these jerks are doing! It probably prevents them from using the line to con other people!
Once again, I do encourage that anyone who receives calls from these lowlife jerks at 202-241-**** to "return the favor" and barrage these as**oles relentlessly to interfere with their "business." Hopefully, these little actions will tie them up and take their time away from conning others. - UnknownIdiot with a heavy middle eastern address claimed to work for the IRS. He said his name was Jack William and that I owed the IRS money, then proceeded to threaten to arrest me.
Scam, a bad one at that.- Caller: IRS Telephone Scam
- LD - SeattleA guy named "Marcus King" with a slight accent left a voicemail saying there is a warrant out for my arrest and that I need to call back, 202 241-2103. He said he was with the "Crime Investigations Division" and left his bagde # 72853. They did this about a month ago to my wife and after talking with the guy asking him questions and leading him on, I finally said "would your mother be proud of what you are doing....cheating honest people out of their money....", "is this how she raised you"? He suddenly got very ticked off and said some threatening comment I could not understand and hung up on me. The scary thing is that the number they provide is a valid IRS/ Federal Investigations tel#! It shows on the caller ID and I am sure scares people into thinking the call is legitimate. I called and spoke to a federal employee about this and they confirmed it is a scam, and that the perpetrators somehow are able to use the US govm't Crime Division tel# on their ID when calling(!).
- Caller: Crime Investigations Division
- Call type: Debt collector
- Jamaal CharlesGot a call form the "IRS" investigator Don Smith (who sounded like he was from India) and said unless i send him $3,000.00 in back taxes he would have me arrested. he gave me his badge number and wanted to talk to my lawyer. This went on for about two weeks. I contacted the local police and they said it was a scam. DO NOT FALL FOR IT OR GIVE ANY INFORMATION.
