Received call stating they were from federal bureau government. That their is a case against us they would like to help us with before it goes to court.    SCAM!!!

I received a voicemail today that was very threatening from this number. The man, who had a slight accent, told me that he was from the IRS and that I had done something criminal. He told me with great force (obviously trying to intimidate me big-time) that I had to contact him immediately so that we could work something out. He didn't say my name, which was one clue that he was a fake; The actual IRS # in DC is (202) 874-6748. Obviously this scam works because I just talked to someone today who received the same call. Just hang up and ignore it. If the IRS wants to get in touch with you, they'll do it via the US Postal Service.

Same thing happened to me not long ago. I figure it was a scam because, as earlier stated, the number was incorrect. But for me, the biggest tip off was that the message reapeted about halfway through before it cut off. Freaky at first, annoying afterwards.

I received the same call. This man said his name was Steve Martin. You can even see where he lives so why does someone not do something about him.

Total scam.  I am a former IRS Special Agent- for over 10 years.  This is not how the IRS operates.  This guy should be put in jail just for annoying people.  Just hang up.  Why do these scammers always seem to have an accent?  Shame on this guy.  Who raised him to think this behavior is OK?

Called the number back as I got the same message and as soon as I stated "that's funny the U.S. treasury is not open on Saturdays " I was immediately disconnected

I also got this call too. I think this is a scam and this person said he was from the government but did not leave his name or department. He threatened me financially.
If you are the guy that did this. Shame on you for trying to intimidate older Americans. I hope they catch you.

I got 3 calls from this number on my voice mail within 3 hours telling me the same thing regarding a federal offense.  The 4th time he called he was the same person leaving another number with the same message.   The second number was 951 321 8096. The name that was left was Keith Martin.

Got the same call from a man saying he was Steve Martin. Threatening federal action .

Got a threatening voicemail from the same number and same person - Steve  Martin - stating that I owed money to the IRS (which I do not) and they were going after me.   I never called back as I figured this was a scam as contact would be by registered letter.  Where do I file a complaint?

My elderly parents got a phone call by a rude, obnoxious, women who claims to be working with USCIS and threaded them for some money and also told my parents that they would be arrested. I called the number back and she swear at me. Hope you get caught and your  nasty KARMA will get you one day. Trying to scare innocent and fragile people with your dirty games.Nice try with my parents 75% of your job was done till I came in the middle. God will [***] on your one day...
