Got the same VM today. Checked with the IRS, it's a scam.

This is an IRS scam as they called me and left a message that I am being sued for not being my taxes.  The IRS sends paperwork to home, not call you!!!!

I got 2 VM indicated IRS will file a lawsuit against me. IRS never will call and leave VM without sending you the letter first.
Should contact local police department or call IRS to locate who made calls to stop it.  The phone is not display on the voice machine nor list the name, it came from not honest people or organization.

Recoded message received to call 202-2417044 that IRS is filing a law suit

Just got a message to call 202-241-7044 due to IRS has a law suit against me. I searched this number and saw this page -  it's a scam.

I received a recorded message from tel no stating that this was a final call before filing a lawsuit - that I better call the number....

I meant to include that the message said it was from the IRS.

I called the FBI and they referred me to The Federal Trade Commission. I called and reported the calls.

Claims to be the IRS, calls today just about 10mins ago. Claims that a lawsuit is being filed against me. Wants me to call back

It's a recording saying that the IRS is filing a lawsuit against us and we must call them right away. The IRS NEVER contacts you by phone for collections!! They don't work like that! You would have received several notices in the mail of any money owed. This is a SCAM, and these crooks have been calling us or months. They change their approach every couple months, so don't be fooled!

We got an answering machine message warned us to call 202-2417044 asap, otherwise we'll be sued by IRS.  A couple of days later, my family also got a call from a man named Kevin Miller saying  he is from United States Department of legal that we have income tax problem, and we must call 202-2410213 right away. He even gave a case number.

I am receiving calls from this no. since last 6 months regarding different matters. and now from last month receiving message regarding I will be legally punished for not paying proper tax. was scarred first but then realized  that IRS will never call us .They always send letter. Now relaxed. But we are posting here because this post can help everybody else like us.

Recorded message received to call 202-2417044 that IRS is filing a law suit. They asked me to call ASAP else the will file case. Searched on google and got to this page. Thanks everyone for posting this up that's this is a scam.

I know IRS never call. They send letters and provide options to resolve any issues.

IRS does not file lawsuits. They go into your bank accounts and take your money, they put liens on all property etc. They do not use automated services either, they notify via mail and typically certified if individual does not respond.
