This Indian person keeps calling every 3-4 months,. They sound as if they have something on their phone to disguise their voice and tries to use names as "Allan  Smith" or "Juan Ortiz" and the list goes on. They claim that I took out a payday loan with a company called VIP Loans I contacted that company and the company stated that the ppl contacting me is fradulent and DO NOT give them any personal info and just hang up on them or tell them that the call is being recorded by the police and that should end the calls. I hope so because this has been going on for months and I monitor my credit report and no such debt on there.

An man with an eastern accent is calling my work and saying he is from Jack Peterson Law firm and is claiming I am using my work number illegally.  Employer got pretty pissed off and told me to tell them to never call here again.  When i researched it they said that I took a payday loan and asked for bank info to clear debt up. When asked to show proof he hung up.

Yes, I got a message saying he was Officer Jack Peterson.....saying my last 4 SOC SEC # was on hold by the U.S Government...and there was a lawsuit filed against me...W T H don't have a clue who this idiot is...that can barely speak English.. why a joke.......

Just got a phone call from same guy and he also called my job this morning.  States he has my personal information and he is taking legal action against me because of a payday loan company that had contactec him that I defaulted on.  I never took out ANY payday loans!  When asked for proof he transferred me to some other guy.  I then told them that I had reported them to the police and that it was illegal for them to be contacting me and leaving threatening messages on my voicemail and calling me at work.  He then, hung up on me.  This guy calls from several different numbers and uses several different names.  Also, states he is an Officer which is illegal.

I have been getting the same calls from "Officer" what ever and tells me to have my husband call it is of grave importance and time sensitive matter... glad i checked on here ty all because my husband never took out a payday loan with these people!

I thought this was a scam I hope they do call me again I might just trace it.

Called my 70-year old parents claiming to be from the Tax Fraud and Audit department of the IRS.  Male, Indian or Pakistani accent.  I called the number using caller ID block; and a recorded message (non-professional, personally recorded) from a female with the same accent as the caller came on that said, "This is Officer Kelly Smith of the Tax Fraud and Auditing Department, please leave your name and number...."  The IRS has warned of this scam.  They left another number that was not appropriately set up, and when you call it, you find it is a Magic Jack number.

They called me too, claiming she was from the IRS, and left 2 voice messages.  Claiming there was a lawsuit against me, and to call her right away or they would go ahead with the law suit.  Sounded like an Indian or Pakistani accent also.  Same "Kelly Smith".  Obviously a scam.

Received this same phone call today. Kerry Smith from IRS, ACCENT from india. I didn't call back!

Same name same message here in Michigan.

I also received calls on my machine several claim she was from the IRS said her name was Kelly Smith and wanted to talk about the law suit.

Getting the same calls. SCAM!
