is this the irs?

It's a scam. You can report it on the irs website.

Said they are the IRS and threatened to take me to court. I don't owe any taxes. Have not received any written notice from IRS. So think this is a scam!!! They have called three times.

This is definitely a scam. I've had this number for over 3 years and never got a call before but,  the recording says they've been trying to reach me. I'm disabled and don't even file taxes!

They just left a voice mail saying that irs is gonna file a lawsuit. Is this true?

My cellphone did not even ring and they left me a voice mail. Im confused

When you drop out of range of base station - or when your network provider can't handle call volumes - then caller won't reach your cell & it'll go straight to your voicemail.

They said ITS we have been trying to reach u , u are being sued

They called me today. Left a mess that IRS is filing a law suit against me and to call them ASAP before they file...I've had 3 area code 202- calls since Nov 14. Ill look up the other 2 n c if their scams too.

Same here- multi 202 area code numbers. Automated message saying the IRS is suing me- at the end of the message they say " thank you and God bless" - very nice for a scam:)
Last week it was the US Treasury wanting to give me a grant. Except the person on the other end of the phone could barely speak English enough to say US Treasury.
I personally like to call them back and waste their time as long as I can- so they can't take any other calls.

I've gotten the recording from the 202 number as well. Is this a confirmed scam?

A badly recorded voice calls me every day to warn me that I'll be taken to court by IRS if I don't call a number back, which I did, but it was busy! I have not filed for years, as I'm on disability!
Annoying  as heck!

I have had this number call me at least 3 times just today and it has been calling daily for the last week or so.  

I just received the same call, from a computerized, crackly and crude mechanism, claiming, "The IRS is going to file suit against you.  Call the number back before it gets filed in court. 202-241-7848.  Thank you and God Bless you".  

As above, this was an immediate flag, as only a scam would be so presumptuous to use God in their ploy.  I called it back, from a work (secure) line, got nothing but continuous ringing, so I Googled(tm) it and found these responses.  This has to be a scam.  BE CAREFUL - do NOT give your personal information to them.

They keep calling me saying they are the IRS and trying to sue me but I have not received any info in mail regarding this from IRS so I believe this is a scam

Some one is calling me from this number saying that they are from the IRS that I will be taken to court.
