These people are saying they're the IRS and want to settle down installment payments "issuing a warrant" on your name and threatening to call the police. Be aware!  1. they mentioned people in or family who don't have a SS# and were visiting. 2. We are already paying installments for other back taxes. 3. IRS always notifies in writing.
I wish something could be done to get these [***] who are taking advantage of the people who get to believe the story of the warrants.

They also called me today with same threats. I filled a scam report to the IRS at www.tigta.gov
You all should do the same to shut them down.

Just got called. Freaking ridiculous. Threats, jail hilarious! Jerks belong in jail or worse. Don't answer ever!

Just happened to me too.  Can the police do anything.  Seems like it's hitting a lot of people.

I also just got the call. First there was an Indian woman saying that i had illegal record because i hadn't reported money wired from other country. Then she let me talk to another man to provide me solutions. The man pretended to ask his boss for options to solve the problem and told me to pay about $900, otherwise, police would arrest me in 30 minutes. And they emphasized no one else can know that. What a lier!

Indian woman that said she was from the IRS. She said they had audited us and that we didn't respond to some letter so a warrant was being put out for my husband's arrest. I asked her to verify the address she had for me, and she had my address. I asked what she wanted and she said we needed to get a lawyer because she was going to file a warrant in the next 30 minutes. I asked for her number and she gave me this one. When I called it back the first time there was a scratchy message saying they couldn't answer the phone right now. The second time someone picked up and didn't say anything. Creepy that they have my address. I called my local police.
