Gladys asking for owner of company by name saying it was a conference call.
Would not say her company name. would not leave message. called ID number and automated service said it was "Partner America Program" leave your name and number and an associate will call you back. Left message to not call us again, and if the did so, they would be reported.

People from this number call and ask for owners by name. Say they are from Conference of Mayors. Direct you to the conference of mayors website www.usmayors.org/recovery which is probably a legitmate websight, but they're just using it for some mysterious reason to arrange a personal meeting with an owner. Very annoying. We've received similar calls from different numbers. Caller ID says Washington DC. Call the number back and answering machine says Partner of America Program. Pretty soon they'll be asking me "who is John Gault"  (Atlas Shrugged). Just have to hang up on them I guess.

They won't tell you for some reason but the call is from Partner America Program or some management service contected with them. You can google them and read about it.

Yes, received two calls from them today.  Joe Franjewel (pronunciation).  That was funny.

A person calls from Washington DC asking for the owner. They say they are from the US Conference of Mayors and want to discuss programs to help small businesses. The person makes an appointment and says he is bringing his manager along. The sales manager stationed in your area shows up alone to explain that the US Conference of Mayors has a program with Partner America to help small business.

What it is is the Conference of Mayors gave their approval for a private consulting firm by the name of American Management Services to contact small businesses to offer (sell) business consulting services.
This relationship is called the Partner America Program. The mayors hope businesses in there area will improve if they get business advice and the Mayors don't have to do anything.

The AMS sales manager goes on to explain that for a $500 entry fee, analysts will come out and look at your company's books and operations and recommend improvements.  How confidential the information is kept is unkown. They screen out real small companies on the first call. They ask for your number of employees and annual sales to see if you qualify for their analysis.  They want a company with at least 20 employees and $2,000,000 in sales.

We get plenty of free advice from our CPA firm and bank and quality auditors and don't want to spend time with outside consultants.

Received a call from Rick Wood (English accent) looking for the owner.  Wouldn't give a call back number.  I will never let him get through.

received a call from this number from Tom @ the Conference of Mayors office for our owner - he is the new "Director for Stimulus Growth" under Christine Hill.  Whoever these people are.  They would not give me a contact number (because it is a federal office and they can't give those #s out) or full name.  He said he would call back monday.

The man said he was Michael Grevebov and wouldn't give a company name.  He said he worked for himself.  When I asked what sort of work he did, he wouldn't answer.  He kept insisting the company ower (who he called by name) would know him.  He hung up when put on hold.  I called the number back and got a recording for Partner America.

What great feed back this is. I wonder if you had them come out just so you could educate yourself and the rest of us as to what they are all about? If so, BRILLIANT.! I, as well as probably some other folk on here appreciate it. Unfortunately I am the call screener for the owner of my company, and a lot of these calls sound the same. Rush rush to talk to the owner, never leaving identifying information, and rude. It always makes me nervous when I refuse to connect a telemarketer to my boss for fear that it is a legitimate call. So thank god for "Who Calls Me", I feel better being able to look these numbers up and verify myself, that my hunch was right. Thank you Who calls me.

I hung up on my caller as well. Then he called back and said, "Did you just hang up on me?" I let him know that I pushed the wrong button and apologized. (Which I really did hang up on him) He completely harassed me and said things like "Wow, I cant wait to tell your boss how unprofessional you are, put me into his voice mail" When I said I'm sorry I cant do that, I can take a message, he said that "He heard me say that and that I should stop repeating myself".

These same two statements by him and I went on for what seems like an eternity. When I finally said,  "Look I need to go, is there a message I can give to him?" His response was, "Are you really going to hang up on me again? I dare you, can't wait till your boss finds out" I had to hang up. Worthless waste of my time.

This is likely the rudest call we ahve received, we are reporting them to the attorney general in their state based on their call from area code (202) and ours.  they call back time and time again, with no relief,  I will let the pros handle them.

The person said his name was Moe Carter and asked for the owner.  He said to be from the DC Economic Development Division which sounded like something we would be getting calls from.  He said it was in regards to an inquiry my boss submitted.  The person was not rude at all but why do you have to lie that way in order to get in touch with a person..really?  As many others posted already - it is a waste of everybody's time.

We have had at least 40-50 calls in the last 2 months from this number. When questioned, they once told me his name was Chris Troy. Not always the same guy.  They always ask for the president of our company by name, but will not leave a call back number or message. They have also said they will just call him on his cell (which they do not have that info).   when I called the number back, they answer as Partner America.I got a recorded message to leave my name and phone number. I am TIRED of this continual harassment by these guys.  JUST MAKE THEM GO AWAY !!!!!

We have been getting calls from this number for months. Often multiple times a day. As so many others have already commented, usually with very rude solicitors on the other end. Lately they've even been saying that they're calling from Norma Butler's office and they try to make it sound legitimate. Thanks to the other posts on here, I had enough info to start digging around. Apparently this Partner America Program is affiliated with a company called American Management Services- website is www.amserv.com. I found a number listed for that company on their website- 800-743-0402. I called and explained to the gal who answered that we have been harassed by their solicitors and we want it to stop. She transferred me to someone named Rick Wood who seemed helpful and had a Brittish accent.  He seemed very nice and appologetic and asked if we knew the name of the individual making the rude calls. We did not. He said he was taking our name out of their database and I should call and let him know if we get any additional calls.

Had several calls since last week.....keeping telling them the owner isn't interested in talking to them.....still keep calling on a daily basis.

Received call, asked what project is it for "no project" I'm just reaching out to the Owner from Todd Shepards office.  When we say he's not available they get irritated and say we'll send him and email.  Solicitation.

Rceived same kind of call from a Charles Anderson. Wanted to send in his boss to see if we qualified for State Programs.
Told him we were not interested, sounds like a scam.
