This company represented itself as the IRS, they said I owed them money. The whole thing is a scam. Tell them you are going to report them to the Police Dept and hang up. If it was the IRS they would give you a case # and you could go directly to your local IRS office.

Also got the call.  They claimed to be IRS but had my name wrong!  This time they even gave a name "officer David Watson".
Sounded like kids to me.

They called and started treating my wife over the phone. unfortunately for them my wife worked for the federal government.
She asked the caller several questions and the caller started yelling over the phone. The caller will not answer the questions or leave a name.
Its big scam!!!!!!!!

The caller (Jennifer Williams) asked to speak to my husband, stating that she is calling from the IRS.  The background noise had loud, amplified voices, as in an airport setting.  When I told her my husband was unavailable, I got her to give me her phone number and she told me to have him call her back, as it is "urgent".  Yeah, right.

The IRS doesn't operate this way.  Don't give out phone numbers or any information to anyone who calls.  THIS IS A SCAM!

My 75 year old mother received a called 15 minutes ago telling her that she had been lying on her taxes for the last 10 years and that they were going to go and collect the money of she will be arrested. They did have her name and her address.

I got a call from this number. They did leave a voice mail message with this number and had my name correct. The person was hard to understand and the call a bit echo like in a big space. Claimed from IRS and claimed I did something which I could not make out. IRS has always contacted me by letter in the past, I do not think they would start calling now with vague messages. I did not call back.

I received this call on August 26.  The caller claimed in broken English that they were from the IRS and I owed them a lot of money.  I told them they were wrong and they then said that they were going to sent the police instead.  I told them to send the police.  The caller could not give me a case number or identify themselves. SCAM !!!!

my wife and I had message on our phone from John Smith (very original name) who sound middle eastern or Vietnamese, claiming to be from IRS and that my wife was in possible trouble for identity theft.

We also received this call today! Claimed to be from IRS and threatened us with arrest for money due to IRS.  He had our name, number and address (but thats it). When I asked for case ID number/employee ID number he hung up. Then called back and gave both (presumably made up) and identified himself as Officer Stuart Burns. This man, with a very heavy accent, called several times - at least 4. Said the local police would be at our house in 45 minutes (obv its been an hour and a half and no police). He would not identify the judge's name on the arrest warrant he claimed existed. Quickly got hostile. A woman also called our answering machine and left a message with this phone number regarding urgent past-due taxes.

got a call from 2022807708 saying that they are the IRS, there was a lot of noise & he sounded Hindu , I told him to send me all the paperwork in the mail & he sais "do you want me to send you the arrest order by mail?? , he told me that I was going to be arrested with my husband & all my family,
then when I made fun of him telling him, yes please arrest me all the way from india, he started saying words in arabic, i was laughing, but i know that there are a lot of people that take this scumbags seriously, please someone stop them

Told me criminal charge Violation federal tax regulation

as soon as I started asking questions he told me to wait until the end; being taped;  Detect fraud;  when I pressed him for answers he changed the dates of charges - he hung up.

I called back same guy answered and he then pretended to get other person.

The guy pretended to be from the IRS, he was weird and it was noisy. He wanted to talk to my husband who was not home. He insisted to get his phone number to reach him. Then he called back a second time asking my husband to call back officer Ron Davis from IRS at 202-280-7708.

My elderly parents received 2 messages on their answering machine instructing them to call the IRS for a 'time sensitive matter'. Since my parents were on vacation, I decided to call back to see what the problem was. Wow! The person on the other end gave his name as Sean Marshall, badge #2916 and began to recite a list of violations that my father had committed. He even had a dollar amount as to what my father owed. He went on to say that the IRS has sent 3 letters that my father blatantly ignored and that he willfully defrauded the IRS. If I did not handle the matter, a lien was to be put on their property, all assets were to be frozen and a police officer will be there shortly to arrest my father. Thank goodness my parents did not deal with this because they may have fallen for it.
