i just want to know who was it

I just got the call from this person claiming they were part of a government 5000 dollar grant program. When I asked for a website or him to verify himself he got defensive. I told him unless there was a supervisor I could speak to or someone who could verify what he said he should hang up because I am willing to report him. The line went quiet for five minutes before I hung up. This has got to be a scam. I have worked in telemarketing for years and know the FCC guidelines very well. There is no way this should be trusted and if you get a call from this person who btw, did not ask to speak to a certain person or have me verify that he was talking to the correct person which also gave him away, DO NOT give out information. This is very dangerous and people should be careful. Ask him to read the disclaimer.

More over his accent was thick. Most American based companies would not have hired him because he did not speak clearly. Also he did not identify himself. He did not speak in a professional manor which this type of program would require. DO NOT BE A VICTIM. Do not trust this number.

It's a Scam...be careful!

Received call from this number and they said, USA govt. want to give a good/loyal citizen credit to around 1500 randomnly selected citizens and I am one of them.  They gave me the $9K approval number and a/c manager no. as 2063171376.

It looks like scam to me.  I didn't give any other information but just my name and zip code.

said i get $9000

said I would get 9k.... asked for my bank acct number of credit card info- I refused .   left cb number of 206-317-1376... if you try and call back the number does not accept calls.

SCAM

I was told the same thing....another number to block...

Been getting calls from this 202-317-1375 for days at least 3x a day now let machine ans. never anyone there anyway    !!!

I also got 3 calls from this number but no one is speaking

Received two calls from this number today. First time, I didn't answer, and they did not leave a message on the answering machine. The second time, I answered, "California Highway Patrol, what is your emergency?" Woman with accent says, Hello?" I repeated the Highway Patrol line... She hung up.

I get called 2 - 3 times per day by this number.  when I tell them I am on the do not call list they hang up on me, then call back an hour later.  What can I do?  I never asked for a grant to go back to school.  these people need to be stopped.  This is harassment.

Keeps calling, do not know anyone from this number

I just received a call from 202-317-1375.  A lady who spoke with a foreign accent said she was calling from the United States Federal Government regarding a grant. I said, "Let me get this correct, you work for the U.S. Government?"  Her reply was "Yes." I asked where her government office was located.  She said in Washington D.C.  Then I said, "So you are an employee of the United States Government?" She said yes.  Then she proceeded to talk about money.  I terminated the call and a recording came on saying the call could not be accepted.  Someone needs to look into this because it is illegal to represent yourself working for the United States Federal Government when you are not.

I just got a call from this number 202-317-1375 for the 3rd time today so I picked it up.  They said it was from the US Federal Grant Department.  He wanted to verify my first name so I gave my first name.  That was the (((2ND RED FLAG))) because he didn't ask for me by name when I first answered.  The (((1ST RED FLAG))) was when I called back the number after the 2nd call and the recording said the person doesn't take messages.  I let him do his SCAM PRESENTATION as I wanted to hear one out.  The only thing he asked for was my first name and my zip code then wanted to know how I would like to receive the money.  By my bank, western union (((3RD RED FLAG))) or by mail.  I said by mail.  Then he gave me a Verification # and a phone number.  I asked him his name.  He gave me AUSTIN SMITH, but his voice was in a thick Indian accent, (((4TH RED FLAG))).  I wanted to see if this Mr. Smith would give me some info back.  I asked him his address.  200 Southwest Ave., HHH Building, Washington D.C. is what I was given.  

Someone calls you and wants to give you money, has no information about you when they call, mentions western union as a payment option by the Government, Last name Smith from and Indian accent, refers you to another number to call and if you call back to original number you can't reach anybody.
