the number comes back to a Donnetta Willis Washington Dc. however it is a spoof from I C SYSTEMS a collection company, Thay are calling me about a wamu acct, but at this time I am trying to keep my home so they are not at the top of my list. by the way they will not tell you who they are unless they have your name on there file with your number you call from. They Are rookie jerks the way the talk to you with what they think is a tough demeanor.

I called IC Systems to let them know vendors have been extremely late paying me since the economic crisis started so I have been knocked back several steps but I want to pay my debt and not have to declare bankruptcy.  She proceeded to ask some questions that were really a set to give me the third degree and try to guilt me into making the WAMU debt they were hired to collect my No. 1 debt priority. I was so shocked I forgot all about how Washington Mutual DOUBLED my interested rate after buying my account from Providian in 2005, making it impossible to pay off my principle and leading me to default.

i am "impressed" with the tactics that I.C. systems uses. They are borderline harassment. I am in no position to pay this debt from Wamu. I am trying to save my house and cars too. I am working two jobs just to do this and even my part time job cut hours like crazy. Point...I am tired of I.C. systems. I should but, do not want to talk to them.

In the same boat as all of you and have delt with the harrasing phone calls as well.  Although i take enjoyment out of messing with debt collectors.   The people that i have talked to have a severe attitude problem and talk to me as if i stole the money from them personally or something.  very bad business practices and when i do get the money to pay off the debt i will never give it to THEM!

So glad I googled this name Donnetta Willis. I.C. SYSTEMS is getting pretty unethical. Just WHO is Donnetta Willis? If she is a real person can she be held accountable for this? I am quite sure this is not proper business practice for debt collection.

these numb nuts call constantly and even if you answer most of the tme they hang up. They call my business cell phone but never leave amessage. I just like the rest of the country am struggle to pay mortgage, and keep my cars to be able to get to work and pay bills. This was a small credit line from these puds, when I was fixing my credit for $500.00 bucks. Fours years later after being a good customer and paying on time, the sell out and raise my interest rate. I have also had identity theft, and have a police report filed with this cc card and they still hound you daily. When things turn around, I still won't pay, let it go for another year and settle for 50% of what I owe now.

this collection agency bought the debt from wamu, for pennies on the dollar, and their business is to collect as much of the original 'total' debt as possible...that how they make money. If its gone this far the debt is already on your credit report and your credit is suffering (like mine) because a collection agency owns the debt now doesn't make your credit report worse. when we all have the money and we are ready
to fix our credit reports we can settle for as little as 10% of the total with some companies. its coming!

You know, it seems that if a collection company was really serious about recovering any amount of a debt owed they would be more co-operative and willing to help you.  i average 10-15 calls per day beginning at 8am and not stopping until 9pm.  i used to work in the credit card collection field and know that after a while you get worn out, but boarderline harrassment can be an easy way to begin exactly what they are doing, destroying their brand identity.  BTW, I received a letter from Chase Bank who absorbed WAMU when they went belly up stating that my account was only 1 month past due.  Maybe if they hadn't extended credit to those who they knew couldn't re-pay it they would still be in business?  HMM>..

I got a call from this number and 202-367-9027.  I'm in the process of looking for a job and when I saw this number, I thought it was a firm looking to hire me.  Good thing I really didn't answer the phone.  I wanted to do this lookup, before I answered it.  I know it Could have been a job, I am glad I did not answer.  Both numbers are for the same outfit.

WAMU needs to pay their bills first, then I'll pay then.
Most people are worry about their mortgages, rent, food for their children, jobs, etc....The last thing they care is about CREDIT CARDS.......

Those credit card companies need to understand and realize that people have priorities.

owe 2500.00 they have it raised to 3500 with interest and fees.

Will not even talk about a settlement--they say I have to get my card current!!!
    What a joke!!!

I explained I had 800.00, and they tried to make me feel bad for not wanting to pay more. I laughed!!!

I am trying to hold on to my house and car and still make small payments to my other credit cards(who have been more than willing to work with me and not close my line of credit) so I told IC systems to [***]---call me when they want 800 dollars. At some point, that offer is going to look real good

I'm in the same boat - WAMU has hired IC Systems. This is what you do: send them a letter certified WITH A RETURN RECEIPT REQUESTED as follows:

    Dear Sir or Madam:
This will serve as your legal notice under provisions of federal law, the Fair Debt Collection Practices Act (FDCPA), to cease all communication with me in regard to the debt referenced above. If you fail to heed this notice, I will file a formal complaint against you with the Federal Trade Commission who is responsible for enforcement, the States Attorney General office and/or the American Collectors Association or local State Bar Association.
I/We have decided that we do not desire to work with a collection agency under any circumstances. I/We will contact the original creditor to resolve this matter directly, as circumstances warrant.  Also, please be aware that we intend to file for protection under Bankruptcy.  You will receive notice at that time, we are in the process of preparing our paperwork.
You are also notified that should any adverse information be placed against my/our credit reports as a result of this notice that appropriate actions will be taken. Give this very important matter the attention it deserves.

IC Systems? They have found their way to the new number (which is changing anyway), I see.

As one who is caregiver to a critically ill cardiac patient (husband) AND laid off - the only income long gone.  I asked to invoke my payment protection plan I've always held with them, Premier, HBSC, Capital.  For as long as I've held CC's, I paid for that.

And guess what?  NONE would honor it.  Each company found a way NOT to honor it.  The best was "You should have reported and invoked this within 30 days of losing your job."  I was astounded: I said, I still had unemployment, so I tried IN GOOD FAITH to pay my obligations while I could.  Now that UI has run out, I needed help.  Nope - have to cop out and stop paying the second you lose your job.  What twisted logic is this?

With that, the account (WAMU, et. al.) are finding their way to IC Systems, Et. Al.  Even when I ordered accounts closed, the fees accrue!  To which, I told them, "when I get MY bailout can I begin to think about paying you people.  Besides, you already have what I owed this company - the rest are the  obnoxious fees and charges. And Don't even try to threaten the credit - it is in the single digits.  You people got your billions of aid, and I am trying to keep my home from foreclosure.  And for what?  An account w/a balance less than $300?  Consider this call your "drop dead" notice -- do NOT call here again."

And still they try (and then the backlash of their actions is REALLY ugly).  But most these days (with exception of Premier) pretty much just give up the ghost.  Must know by now we are so onto them, have been ripped far too long, are trying to survive and right now only care about the mortage and power bill and NOT any penury action they can take.

Sneaky they are coming out of D.C. and not using an 800 number. Sounds like WAMU itself, but why the IC Systems?  Suspicious in that - they use 800's or private or unknown caller IDs.
