I called the number from "generic" switchboard. SFI is Strategic Fundraising, Inc. They are some kind of fundraising organization. See:

Received this call at 3:15 this afternoon.  Trace on google said it was a cell phone coming from Washington, D.C.  I too, am listed on the do not call list, but I guess it doesn't help.  I've answered and told them that and they still call back.

i followed Ernie's link http://www.yenrab.com/blog/?p=186 and read what was there. Now I dont understand why political and non profit organizations dont use the DNC list. I added my name to that list twice now and i still get calls from SFI and other organizations as well. What upsets me is that i get calls from people saying i am a devoted donator when i dont remember EVER donating to them or maybe once in my life. I even tell them while on the phone…. take me from your list… i do not want to receive your calls… I am assured my name has been removed and a few days later get a call from another person from the same company who ALSO assures me my name has been removed. Then there are the ever-loving operators that get rude and say they dont have to pay attention to the DNC list and get this… one operator from some company actually told me that the DNC list does not exist and is a government lie. Yeah. So i think the Do Not Call list should be available to all organizations,including political and nonprofit, and make it a law that they respect those listed.

calls once a day around the same time-8:30PM from SFI but I never pick it up and they never leave a message..I get so tempted.  I am on the DCList but it doesn't filter them all out

I get at least 1 call a day from this number.  It comes up as NRCC.  I am also on the DNC list and yet I get them all the time.

This number has called several times and does not leave a message.

Calls in twice a day, ID as Pepo but keeps silent, hangs up after a few seconds

Sigh, I've gotten one call for two days now from this number.  I don't pick up and they don't leave a message.  Now I have to try to figure out how to block.

Calls twice daily, sometimes as late as 8:30pm...annoying to say the least. I never answer and they never leave a message. I'm also on the DNC list. Sure wish they would quit....

I believe that those annoying non-stop calls from 202-367-9295 are from the National Republican Congressional Committee. I hate to say this, 'cause I'm a Rep., but thet are going nuts!

non profit and goverment affiliated are not required to use, or adhere to do not call list which means even if your on the list they can still call
