Call came in at 8:07AM with no answer, just a hang-up.  Caller ID shows ALA as the caller's name.

I receive a call from this number (or very similar numbers) with the Caller ID "ALA."  The calls come at all hours, early, late and during meal times.  No message is ever left.  I am on the National and State Do-Not-Call Lists but whoever this is ignores that.  It's becoming more than annoying.

they call me every single day. If I answer, it's just silence. They never say anything, or leave a voicemail. I'm on the do not call registry, and I have no idea how to tell them to stop calling when they never say a word on the phone. Extremely irritating.

Please get these people to stop calling every single day - weekends included - it is gettin more than a bit annoying

They started calling and don't leave a message.  If I answer, there is nobody there. Very annoying!

I am on the do not call list but still get a number of unwanted calls.  This one is one of them.  Please stop them from calling me.

I've been getting these calls repeatedly every day for a couple weeks now.  I called the number and, according to their menu system, ALA is the American Lung Association.  Drilling down into the menus, I was able to select to have my number removed from their list.  The message said this can take anywhere from several to 30 days.  It remains to be seen how successful this was.

I am on the do not call list also but they keep calling me too.  It has to be long distance for them and since they do not say anything, they should be arrested for disturbing the peace.  Evidently they are not selling anything or have a reason to call other than to disturb people.

Received numerous calls but keft no message. Called today (Sunday) & I answered. They asked for my mother by name who passed away almost 10 years ago, told them and they asked me to excuse the call. Hung up on me before I could request to be taken off their list. Hope they do so anyway.

I called the number back and got the "sorry we missed you" recording. It includes an option to be removed from their list, requiring only that you enter the number you want removed. I did that ... We'll see if it works.

These poeple call everyday

This number has been calling every day, now even on the weekends. I actually answered the phone today and there was nobody there. I'd love to speak to a real person, but I don't know if it's possible. We are also on the "Do Not Call" List but it seems nobody pays attention to that.

After weeks and weeks of this #  calling me... I finally answered it one day and found a live polite person ont the other end... I did not even ask who she represented... I just said  "please take me off your calling list.. and she said she would.   That was yesterday...  then today... I received a call from a completely different number... never saw that one before... different area code, etc...  So I went to the National Do Not Call  registry and re-registered.

I got calls from that number (caller ID "ALA") but I do not answer and they never leave a message and they call at anytime after 8am.

They called for the SIXTH time in FIVE DAYS today; THIS time on GOOD FRIDAY.  I was home, getting ready for out of town guests.  I finally decided to ANSWER this call, even though I usually IGNORE them, to CONFRONT these SELFISH GREEDY SOBs.

The girl who answered my "WHAT do you want?" tried to so quickly give her name and the NAME OF THE TELEMARKETER SHE WORKS FOR, that i couldn't catch it.  She IMMEDIATELY went into her SCRIPTED SPIEL "on BEHALF OF 'The American Lung Association'."  I STOPPED her and INSISTED on her Name/COMPANY before she went any further.  She AGAIN talked TOO SOFTLY for me to hear when revealing this and started once more on her script.

I stopped her once more and VERY FIRMLY INSISTED on her SLOWLY, LOUDLY and CLEARLY telling me her name.  She stated she was "CARLA PELLAGRINA (or PELLAGRINI) and the name of her TELEMARKETING COMPANY IS "INFOCISION".

I informed her that I am on the DNC List and DID NOT WISH TO BE TELEMARKETED, to which she replied they were 'exempt.'  HOWEVER, when I FIRMLY INSISTED that I had THE RIGHT To DEMAND that even a 'non-profit' NOT TELEMARKET ME, especially if I so INDICATED TO HER, she HAD to take me off the list.
She 'agreed' to do so, but I'm not sure how honest or compliant they will be.  HOWEVER, I NOW have a TELEMARKETING COMPANY NAME to go along with these numbers and I have already put in ANOTHER complaint against this company.

I HAVE donated to ALA in the past - BUT NEVER AGAIN.   I'm pretty sure I INDICATED TO THEM - ON MY CHECK, in fact - THAT THEY WERE **NEVER** TO TELEMARKET ME, EVER, despite that donation.  SO, they have VIOLATED those terms from the beginning and I intend to pursue this further with letters to ALA with a cc to the FTC/FCC.
