I recieved this call @ 1:30pm today. I was told I had been selected to recieve a $7500.00 gov. grant. But, in order to release the money, I was to call this number within an hour to have the money sent. The man askedif I wanted cash or have direct deposit, I told him cash. He gave me a so called federal ID# as well as this phone #, I then called, twice, and low and behold.....no answer. Imagine that. Anyone that want's you to pay monet to get money is surely a scam...DON'T DO IT!!!! The man said his name was Mark Sighn

I just got the same call guy said his name was John Smith. Really? They couldn't come up with a better name. I was also given a code to give but then again I said I wasn't home and was her roommate. Thanks for confirming what I already thought.

called w scam said i won a grant from the government,,,7500.00,,call this number after I give them funds to release prize money,,,no answer,,,no answer, and can not identify the number

when i called back they told me to go to the western union and call them so they can give the routing/checking number of the "government" acct number.  they also said to bring 290 dollars in cash for a "100% refundable" online transaction fee.  when i asked what the information on the grant was, name of the program etc... they couldn't answer.

I was called from a Foreign sounding man, stateing that the Goverment had chosen me to receive $7500.00 for paying my taxes on time, and not filing bankrupcty in the last 6 months.  The call came in from a unavailable number.  He gave me 3 optioins to receive this money,I knew it was BS because like the Goverment is going to give you money randomly for the reasons listed above.  He gave me a confirmation number for Western Union I did not call the number like he said to do to confirm..... WHAT A IDOIT.   And what really makes me angry is that he knew my address.

Just got off phone with a guy that told me all the same things. I'm not stupid.  The government doesn't give money away.  I let him talk and said thank you and hung up.

Got a call from a lady and was told basically the same story.. got conf# and next phone # to call was told needed 289.00 deposit...lmao.. sad they are using our Gov. now to try and scam us.. jokes on them.. dont they know we are in a rescission and our Gov. is BROKE!! why would they fork out money to us with there own debts at hand?

Thanks,  for this info. I was called also they said I was going to get $7,500.00 to pay my bills off. They needed to put this money in my bank account or on my credit card. They knew my address and phone number .  (They can get this off the computer ) now they needed my bank and the account number so the money could go in the account. Yep like I was born on a dump truck and was dump off. I DIDN'T GIVE THEM ANY THING. the number they gave me was nothing.  ( 202-436-9932 )

The same indian guy calles me about a 7,500 grant I had won for doing a survey.  I was skeptical until he said asked for muly bank acct# or a prepaid debit card number. The. He gave me a info id number and told me to call another number. The lady didn't answer when I called the first time but the second time I called she answered then start to explain that I need to send her 250 first that I get back! Too bad for u lady I just blew all money in vegas! (I'm in the car on the way back from vegas now) you should never have to pay money to get money! Period! If they're sending u money they can just take the money out of the money they're Sending you in the first place

So this foreign lady called me a few days ago saying i won 7500 dollars from an unknown number.i'm 18 so i was just thinking that she had a bad phone company with bad lines so she asks me 2 verify my address and asks me if i want to recieve it in my checking,savings,or cash.how she knew my info....i will never kno bt i chose cash and she gave me another number 2 call her supervisor.i called the number (202)-436-9932.a lady answers and confirmed that i wanted to recieve the money via cash and i said yes.she said go 2 your nearest western union with your id so i cut her off and told her that i didnt have an id yet and she said ok we'll put your request on hold and call back when u get an id.she hung up and i got my id today bt when i go 2 call her back and i hear beep beep beep beep every time i called.looked online and found out it was a scam!!!!i'm glad i didnt kno my account information yet since i had just opened the account through the military.DO NOT FALL FOR IT LIKE I ALMOST DID!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I just recieved a call from an unavaiable number and it was a middle eastern gentleman trying to give me $7500 for my good credit report. Blahahaha I don't have good credit lol. Gave me a number 2024369932 a women answered named emily Hagen says she works for united federal grants. Told me to go to western union and call her and once I give $289 security deposit they will transfer the money. Big scam!!

This is not the first time they tried to sell us their story. We can't get an answer from the number either. We wanted cash also. I guess if you don't give them a bank number to send the money to they will use another way to blow you off.

I recieved a call saying I won a 7,500 grant that would be deposited today if I called this number back with a conformation number gave me three choices how to have money deposited bank account, western union or on a debit card thought was a scam so i gave them a pre paid debit card number when they wanted 289.00 dollars which would be refundable told them  I  as soon as I got off the phone typed number into computer and as I thought it was a scam these indian people are so brave to try and scam people they need to go back to their own country and quit trying to get us americans money
