This is definitely a scam.  -"We are calling about your credit card account"  -"Which credit card?" I asked.  -"Your Visa."  -"Most people have a Visa.  Which Visa card?" I persisted.  (Hesitation) -"This sounds like a scam!" I snarled.  -"Thank you," said he, and hung up.

{The call had started out with a recording that offered time to catch up on late credit card payments. I was invited to Press 1 to speak to a representative. The rep's speech was unintelligible at first, so I kept saying "Hello!"  -"Can you hear me?" said he.  -"Yes, but I cannot understand you."  He had a thick Nigerian(?) accent which lessened somewhat till we could communicate. I am also black, so don't bother accusing me of racism!}

Saw this number on my caller ID on 7/31.  I don't usually pick up unless I can ID the caller and know who they are.  The name attached to the number on the caller ID is Diane Yentel.  Not sure if this info of any use.

My phone rang a few minutes ago and it was from Diane Yentel at
202-459-7122. I was on my computer when the phone, which is next
to me, rang one time. Since it identified the number and caller I
decided to answer it, but they ung up as I picked up so didn't hear
a voice.  I immed. run this number on google and it showed the same
thing that the person in Ohio got.

Have no idea who this is and will not answer. We are  on the dnc list. If they call again, will also report to FTC.

Received TWO CALLS yesterday (AUG 1, 2009) from number: 202-459-7122.  A Diane Yentel.  We were not home answer the call(s), but I did google just now and see that, well, it is probably yet another SCAM.  I too am on the dnc list and also pay for an unlisted number (although I do understand random computer calling).  I am beginning to wonder why I do either.  I don't know about everybody else, but I am soooo tired of SCAMS either by phone, mail, computer.  Don't people have better things to do with their time, or better yet, get a job!

These scum called about refinancing credits I don't own. Death to spammers and telemarketers!!!!

It's a debt consolidation company called Account Services.  While it appears to be a scam, it is a legitimate business.  That doesn't mean all their practices are legal!  They call me several times a week.  Any time I ask to speak to a supervisor to have my name removed from their list, they hang up on me.  They are currently under a VERY public investigation by the federal government for both their solicitation pracices and their lending practices.  PLEASE REPORT THEM!  EVERY COMPLAINT HELPS!

Called my number at about 9:30 a.m. 8/03 and started to leave a message, "no problem with your account... lower your interest rate ..." at which point I picked up the phone and pressed the button as directed, to talk an accont executive.  Woman's voice answered and I told her this number is on DO NOT CALL list, and if I receive another call from you, I will report it ---SO TAKE ME OFF YOUR LIST !

Call appeared on my caller id as Yentel, Diane #202-459-7122. I pressed #2 to be taken off the call list, and an operator answered.  When I said I pressed #2 and I didn't want to be called again, he hung up on me. I called the number back and the mailbox was full.  I then reported the number on the do not call website.

Just received the call only in my CID it came up internationl with the 011 country code showing before the 0112024597122   offering me a low 6% interset rate, as soon as I asked which credit card company they were with they hung up instantly.......obviously these phone workers know they are running a scam or they wouldn't hang up.  If ever I hoped karma was for real its now.  I've know telemarketers who didn't know they were scamming people but if you know to hang up when asked a legitimate question you can't be that ignorant.

Got a call from this number that said Diane Yentel. when I picked up a recording talked about last chance to lower the interest on my credit card. Odd since they did not mention what credit card it was.I hung up.the only reason I picked up because there was the name. Otherwise I would have let it ring.jerks!

I got a message on my answering machine this morning with caller ID "Diane Yentel" and number 202-459-7122. The recording had no indication of a credit card type or company but just said to contact them about lowering my interest rate to as low as 6.9% and indicating that the time on this offer would expire soon so "act quickly."
Because it was not a recognizable number for one of my two credit cards, and because I knew very well that the rapacious credit card companies would never take the initiative to lower their interest rates, I took this to be a bogus offer and did not return the call.

Caller ID identified the call as 202-459-7122

They said press 1 to lower your credit card interest rates

I pressed 1 and told them that I am on a do-not-call list

It sounded like a Russian on the other end of the line.  He hung up.

What a [***] waste of everyone's time

Got the same call from 202-459-7122 a little while ago. They immediately hung up as soon as I questioned who they were. Just reported them to the Do Not Call Registry at:

Told Keyser about this caller and he'll be paying them a visit, carrying a blowtorch and a pair of pliars. Expect the calls to end very soon.

Received call on my voice mail for my cell phone.  On the do not call list.

RECEIVED A CALL FROM DIANE YENTEL 202-459-7122.  I DID NOT RECOGNIZE THE AREA CODE SO I GOOGLED, THE NUMBER IS FROM dc, DON'T HAVE ANY REASON FOR ANYONE TO CALL SO I GOODLED THE NAME AND FOUND THIS WEB PAGE.  SO THIS IS MY OFFICIAL COMPLAINT ABOUT BE CALLED FOR NO GOOD REASON, ESPECIALLY IF THIS IS A SCAM.
