202-459-9960

 I got a call from this number today and didn't answer it since I didn't recognize it and I don't know anyone from Washington D.C.  They left a prerecorded message:  "I need you or your retained attorney of record to return the call.  The issue at hand is extremely time sensitive.  My name is officer Adam Webster and direct line to my division is 202-459-9960.  Now if you don't return the call and I don't hear from your attorney either then the only thing I can do is wish you good luck as the situation unfolds on you goodbye and take care."

I looked for info online and found that these people pretend to be the IRS and threaten to have a warrant put out for your arrest in 20 minutes if you don't pay some back taxes.  First off, the IRS NEVER asks for money or info over the phone, it's always in writing.  Second, the person I got the info from works for H&R Block and has received a memo from the IRS warning of these calls.  Third, I'm on SSI disability and no longer pay taxes and the IRS would know that.

THIS IS A COMPLETE SCAM!  They are trying to get money from people by scaring them.  DO NOT RESPOND TO THESE CALLS!  Report these calls to your local police or FBI.

They called and hung up, so I redialed them.

The guy sounded like he was in a room with a lot of other people and told me that he represented the Internal Revenue Fraud Department and had a warrant for my arrest.  I told him good, I will now call the Department of Justice in San Dieago California.  He hung up.

Received a call claiming to be IRS fraud department I couldn't even understand the gentleman when I explained that I already had a claim w IRS he hung up

I received an automated message from 202-459-9960. the message is as follows:

After reading several post about this I understand this is a scam.

I received a call today telling me about a warrant for tax fraud.  The story is like the other ones reported only his name was david Miller. When I told him I was going to my local IRS office he told me not to go to them.

funny i got the same call today 5-1-15 with the same message and the same adam . its sad to think people have such a small brain wave to come up with this type crap but i guess it depends where your brain is located

upon getting the call i first noticed all the noise in the background ,my caller sounded jamacian ya mon this person talked very fast  telling me i owed the gov money from a 30 yr old tax form  .told me i owed 2800.oo dollars and if i didnt pay right away i was going to be arrested within 30 min that call is 3 hrs old o well im still here at home i guess if u dont want to work this is what u do .to upset people  threaten and be  just a p o c  glad he wasnt standing on my porch

I received that same calls..both on Friday and today.  Of course I was concerned and then I looked the number up and can see that it is a scam.  I did try to call the number back but it was a fast busy signal that I received,  Not cool to scare hard working people like this.

I received a call several days ago.  Told me I was going to be arrested.  I told them the police would not as to go far as I work at a local PD department.  They hung up on me.  Now phone is out of service.
