Call said they were from FTC

SAID THEY WERE GIVING GOVERNMENT LOANS... THEY JUST NEED YOUR BANK DEBIT CARD NUMBER...

i have received a phone about government grants. they have contacted me, and have my banking information

Told me they will give me money from government

They told me, that they going to give me money, is that true?

They said I was selected to receive $8400 grant from the US government if I gave them a checking account number or credit/debit card number, so I gave them a pre-paid debit mastercard number and they gave me a comfirmation number and a number to call to talk to a lady who will transfer the funds by the name of Joyce Western at 202-470-3388. I call the number. While on hold with her, I get another call from another Washington D.C. number which hangs up. When I click over the lady never comes back to the phone. So it is safe to say this is a scam to get account information. I am glad I gave a canceled debit card number. LOL lauging my ass off. I knew it was a scam when they ask for the expiration date of the card. No one uses an expiration date to transfer funds to a card. LOL. So the lady called me back while I am writing this,....and tells me she is sorry we got disconnected. She is confirming all my information and I need to pay an application fee of $230. the fee goes to a charity that is run by the governement. Once in a lifetime opportunity. The money comes from the Federal Reserve bank in New York. So yeah....Confirmed Scam. again...lol

called said I had federal grant for 8400 and all I had to do was load a green dot card with 230$ and I would get 8400 in 45 mins while on the phone she said hold on the banks on the other line I knew it was a scam then she said when I get to walmart call her before I buy the card so I dont buy the wrong one. Looked the number up and seen all these scam reports pretty obvious.Said the 230$ is for the bank transfer since its so much money and earlier in the call said the 230$ was for charity lol.

So is this real or a hoax. . Last week thay called znd said it was  $10.200 and wedsday it was $6.000 znd ten minutes ago it's now $8.400 so what's up

Yepp..feel like an idiot...is there no way to track where they r calling from? I know that impersinating a federal employee of the government has got to b illegal? And who ever stated in the above remarks that its not a scam and they got the money..is a liar..or an imposter...more than likely a lowlife lazy scuzzy weasel that has never earned a honest hardworking dollar n their sleazy lil life....which they don't deserve...hope they choke on money......PEACE

I just got called...I gave them my banking info..is this real or fake?? I'm so confused...having real bad financial difficulties...lights turned off today,  car note due...I really need this to be real.. or else that's pretty horrible messing with hardworking ordinary people who work hard for their money..

I did the same.but after I talked to her I got another call from a man named Larry Johnson who said he worked at the Federal Reserve Bank and was confirming my money transfer and wanted to know when I would be able to take care of the $240 processing application fee
