Got a call from Washington DC area ( to me in Canada). telemarketing scam

Got a call from Washington DC area ( to me in Canada). Same 4 me.

I will not answer.

Got a call 10 minutes ago on my Rogers cell.

Got a call 10 minutes ago, too.

202-495-7170; apparently another US based telemarketer repeatedly calling numbers in Canada. How many calls before they give up?

Got a call from 202-495-7170 five minutes ago. From Washington and I'm in Toronto. Ignored it. Just another pesky telemarketer I guess.

I did not answer, and no voice mail.

then about an hour later, got a call from a 'blocked' number that left a voice message about expired insurance.

soooo annoying!!!

I get calls like this all the time, even on weekends.

Received a call on my cell from the same number - 202-495-7170.  I listened only long enough to hear "Hello, I'm Julie from card services department...", but it was clear she wasn't actually talking to me. Damn them all to hell.

same for me, on my cell.  I am with Bell Mobility and have not had a problem with phone scammers like this until now.

Got a call for this number 5 mins ago ignored it....scam

I got a call today in the morning from this number when i was in the office. A female voice started talking abut the expired car insurance and i hang up, and switched the cell off. When I got home and switched it on again I found the voice message left at 11:30 am . hehehe I can't even pick it up as I never use messages and forgot my pass.
By the way i do not know how they manage because cells are not listed and i do no give it out easily.
seeing all these comments above i realized that president Obama did not call me but some telemarketer

How many people in here on the Rogers network? Both myself and my fiancee have received numerous calls from these idiots, both on Rogers, no way they could have gotten my cell phone #, only had for a month or 2 and haven't given it out.

Yet another U.S. based telemarketer bugging Rogers Wireless customer in Canada. What a scam. I'm tired of that.. really.

Rang my cell at 9:40 am today. It's a pay as you go phone so there's no way I'm answering .....

Yep, me too. Same number from the Washington DC area. I know nobody there, never been there before, I have no reason for anyone to be calling me from the USA. I've been getting a lot more direct marketing calls lately too (I'm on Rogers pay as you go). These days unless I recognize the number, I just dont answer the call (and I got rid of my voicemail too). Its a bad service but seeing as how it pays to answer the call, I just dont pick up unidentifiable numbers any more.
