Scam - The caller with a heavy Indian accent starts out by saying he is calling from the United States. Then he proceeds to tell me the US govt selected me to get a $7k grant tax free.

I received a similar call today, 10 am 4/15/2016.  I had been suspicious from the start.  Wife ran off to claim her 7k at Walmart.  Don't these people have something better to do?

These indian people (ctry of indiai) continue to call even when  told to stop ,,,,wrg number ...yet they dont understand i dont need a loan or grant...now what the hell are these people doing. Who gave them permission and responsibilty to solicit govt. Grants..or even loans....this has to be a high scale scam...when you call number back..guess what no answer and you can't get thru...

Didn't answer and I have Verizon so the I'd said Polish embassy they have called 3 times so far this morning. Didn't answer.

Called 5 times yesterday.  They didn't leave a msg. and I didn't answer.

They called me for about 20 minutes while I was at work. I work at a call center and I have a teenage daughter I am always worried about my child and receiving calls back to back and finally answer and no response over and over again. This is not acceptable

I called the Indian guy all types of dumb [***] and they called me 20X-S remind you only after I said I'm at work! Its a scam and I usually don't swear but I was furious at that point

I just got a email right after my last call I think its rush card!!!!

got 3 calls in one day every 3 hours or so, tried to pick up once and they hung up.

When called back number is not in sservice.

I got the same Indian sounding guy. He started out by butchering my name, then proceeded to tell me that I was going to get a $7,000 grant from the government. When I told him I was not interested he told me he was going to call me 50 times. Definitely a scam and I have blocked that number on my phone

I had the same experience as many of you, however I discovered they are not allowed to hang up. I continued to ask the Indian guy questions to counter his questions. He became so frustrated he threatened to come to my home. Childish I know, but it made me feel better.

They called me wanting to give me  7000.00

I got the same call but from a black women.  Saying because of my demographic and completely the census I qualified for 7,000grant and to claim it at any money gram location, and to call once I was at the location so they can transfer me the money. The caller ID said Washington DC.

Same message told him if he called this number again FBI will know your a scam artist

Hey I'm an Indian guy and I have been a victim too. A Caucasian guy with perfect American accent and and some other weird accent ladies called me and harassed me to get my money yesterday 10k today 7k and wanted me to walgreens and call a number and give a code.

Caller called 9 times ask for Phillip said he just needs my voice

Called 4 times before I finally answered.  ID said Washington DC.  Few seconds passed and it connected to the famous indian person who said he was from the government and I qualify for a grant. Don't have the kind of phone service to waste minutes on scams like this.  First spam call since I've had this number.  PISSED!

This is a scam. I received a call from this number, the operator was a male East Indian stating I'd been selected to receive a $7000 grant and to go to Walgreens or CVS to claim the money. I was to call 202-464-2535 before walking in to get further information. This guy was good. He even had an address of their place for me. I called Walgreens to verify and they said it was a scam.
