Report a phone call from 202-506-8392 and help to identify who and why is calling from this number.
- JbP| 3 repliesRecorded message from (fake) officer Julie Smith with the IRS with CID illegally blocked and location shown as "out of area". Julie tells me there is an issue with my account and to call her at 202-506-8392 before they have to take action. This is really a good fake! Hear that anyone can mimic a specific part of the country using MagicJack software, so beware, this is not a Wash DC number!
- Caller: IRS, faked
- Call type: Telemarketer
- Not That DumbComputer generated message says "This message is from the Internal Revenue Service. You must return this call before we take action against you." or something along those lines. The voice is obviously not real. It was amusing, but I won't be returning that call.
- Caller: falsely claims to be IRS
- DeeI received the same call today from the aforementioned phone number. Please do not respond.
- Call type: Debt collector
- potentialvictimsame number claiming to be IRS and claiming to take action againts my name. so I called back the number, talked to certain IRS agent, ( He answered "Hello") and later identified this number I called as IRS Criminal investigation unit of some sort.) but did not tried to get money from me. He was just asking about my Criminal Attorney's name and phone number, when I said I dont have one , he referred me to the real 1-800 IRS number. He said they could give me more info. but this person on the other line Identified my name and address correctly. So , I am thinking that they spooped the number of a real IRS office so that when you call back, it looks like a real IRS division was calling you, or they are just real good Scammers!
- Caller: Fake IRS Criminal case call
- peteSame thing....dreadful computer voice identifying itself as IRS agent. It said call back before we take action against you.
I called but they do not answer. Wish I read the experience of others before I called back. How can this be lawful?- Caller: IRS

- David replies to Alan McMinigalThe IRS has an email where you can report this type of scam. Go to www.tigta.gov and click on the upper red box. That is what I did. BTW, from what I understand, if there is an issue the IRS usually contacts you by email although one time a real live agent called to track me down!!! Go figure.

poltical media inc is the actual company who is paying for
the robo-calls to be made. so you can see that there is
an extensive murky trail that insulates the sum bag huckabee,
but like i said i am good at what i do!
when i first called political media to tell them to quit
calling me they tried to deny knowing anything about what
i was talking about, but after i started reading off all the
information i had, i was put on hold for about 5 minutes and
another man was put on the phone, apologized and said by the end
of the business day i would be removed from the robocall list.

- CarmenI received a call from this number as well, when I called back went to voicemail.
Went to the IRS website and found this: Its a scam, ignore those calls
The following is a list of known schemes:
•
The IRS warned consumers about a sophisticated phone scam targeting taxpayers, including recent immigrants, throughout the country. Victims are told they owe money to the IRS and it must be paid promptly through a pre-loaded debit card or wire transfer. If the victim refuses to cooperate, they are then threatened with arrest, deportation or suspension of a business or driver’s license. [Added October 2013]
