Done a search and found:

Rec'd many call from this number, nobody leaves messages.  They annoy me.  Comes up as "unknown name" or "washing DC" on my caller ID

The Caller ID said "TV SURVEY".  The recorded voice told me I would get to give my opinions about what shows are on TV.

But when the survey started (again fully automated), it was about local hospitals, like which hospital would I choose, how important it is that they have state-of-the-art equipments, and all that.  No questions about TV.

Just got a call on my cell from them 7:08 pacific time Wednesday 1/7.  Didn't answer - no message left.

Received a call from this number at 5:22 pm on Jan 13, 2009. Answered the call and all I heard was a click.

Received this call from 202-540-5123 on January 20 at 0916.  Didn't answer. Have had this number call before. I have not picked up. They leave NO message on my Answering Machine. VERY IRRITATING. Make it go away.  If I find out WHO, I will NEVER ever buy anything from their company.

Got a call from this number on Jan. 21 at 7:35pm. Caller ID said it was TV Survey and I would get to give my opinion also. It asked me my age said thank you when I entered it and hung up.

Yes, they are some kind of a survey company.  They are starting to call frequently and now I just don't answer it when I see that number show up. A name doesn't appear on the Caller ID, just the number and "out of area".

This number continually calls.

I am seriously considering buying a blowhorn to use on these calls!!! My teenage daughter picked up one, and they asked for HER by name, then asked her age, said thank you and hung up. How they knew to ask for HER is beyond me but makes me rather upset they are calling MY CHILD. That is uncalled for tactics on any level.

Repeated calls from this number. Caller ID lists: DIST OF COLUMBIA rings twice and hangup. If I pick up in time- no-one there..  

Figger is some form of "annoyance dialler", programmed to annoy people.

I'm dropping this line shortly w/no forwarding number. This should eliminate these calls- there are other programmed diallers coming to my number w/similar results.

No sense paying for a landline that has become a magnet for such calls. So far cells and other line are clean!

First call today, did not answer, no message

Caller ID says "Dist of Columbia".  Picked it up but said nothing and whoever was on the other line hung up.

Just got a call as well.  Normally my computer answers the phone, (if you don't press press an access code, it just hangs up on you) but I am expecting an important call, so I'm letting the answering machine do it's thing.  They did not leave a message.

I've gotten a few phone calls... I answered one today and it was a recording for some survey, I hung up before anyone could talk to me. I'm on the "do not call list" so I don't know how they got my unlisted number.

A prerecorded male voice told me that I was about to participate in a TV survey. Then, a female voice started asking me questions about local hospitals instead. I hung up, but it wouldn't get off the line, and I couldn't make another outgoing call for several minutes.

Called the number.  said it was a research department.
