Message says that it is from criminal investigation and I should call them back before they forward  whatever they have to local police. The scary part is the they knew  my name . is there anything at all that could be done to stop the call . These people are criminals and should be punished

I got the same call and received others similar.  I just ignore them and have even shut off my answering machine so they can't leave their threatening calls.

I also received this call from some illegal alien claiming he was Logan Smith, a Federal Crime Investigator. Before an arrest warrant is sent to the local police, he wants me to call him at 1-202-545-6946.

He called several times, an hour apart, using the name of a different person in the household each time.

Two weeks before, I received a IRS phone call scam. That one was so famous that it made a national tv story. Our local tv station interviewed people who had received the call and were scammed.

I also received this call from some [***] claiming he was one "Logan Smith," a Federal Crime Investigator. He stated that before an arrest warrant is sent to the local police, he wanted me to call him at 1-202-545-6946.   So, I called him from my lawyer's office and told him I was returning his call on behalf of my client.  He asked for the name, which I provided, and after a few seconds, he hung up.

Find something else to do like, go chase the Taliban or  arrest ISIS--maybe there's a "Federal Warrant" on them.

They called me and said they have a number of arrest warrant even say a number of the warrant. They say that IRS is going to arrest me, but if I put 1,700 on the prepaid card they will send IRS people to pick it up from my house and cancel the arrest warrant. When I said that it looks suspicious they were threatening and pressure me...even called me names....
