Got a call from this number claiming to be from the IRS.  Sounded like a scam.  They left a very convincing voicemail.  The "agent" sounded "eastern" (not to be offensive and apologies if it comes off that way, but he sounded Indian).  His name was "Agent Jack Austin", gave me a badge number of 1874413.  I was by my laptop and looked up the phone number, which IS registered in Washington DC but the address it is associated with is an apartment building.  It also sounded like a call center, it was noisy and there were other voices in the background.

This number 202-545-6966 called me cell phone three times this week.
april 20th 2015 thru april 23rd 2015.
The first call claimed to be the IRS and had my full name and address,
after asking to confirm my information the person demanded my mother's maiden
name or I would be "instantly prosecuted".
The second caller claimed to be from Wells Fargo Bank. (yeah, right!)
The third and final caller offered me a "Payday Loan"
The IRS will never ask for private information over the phone.
DEMAND any requests in writing.    ALWAYS.
I wish I had the resources to call them all day and spoil the obvious SCAM they are perpetrating.

Claiming to be irs threatening harassing phone calls everyday I want it stopped or I'm calling my attorney!

When I called the number back and stated that I thought it was a fraudulant number, not really the IRS they hung up.

Told me they were the IRS. I hung up.

This is a scam calling to pretend they are irs. They are foreign people

this person calls thre or four times a day hes says his name is carlton johnthan ,i will not answer it ,and he never leaves a message

Didn't answer phone because I didn't recognize the number but I Googled it and saw the responses from other people the IRS will never call you they only do mail

I have recieved multiple calls from this number, the foreign speaking person, claims there have been charges filed against me and I need to pay them.
